So the Italy U21s played Luxemborg today and won 2-0 with goals by Poli and Balotelli. Albertino played the first hour or so of the game and missed 3-4 good chances. Let's hope he's saving his shooting boots for the weekend when Parma play the cugini. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I really, really hope we bring the kid back. Everytime I've seen him play he just seems to be Pippo + ability, which could make him scary good.

Exactly. he's a photocopy of Pippo only with better ball control and more sense of teamwork. that'd make him great.

So this morning, the Italian press (from sky tg24 morning news on telly to Mediaset) think that Pirlo will start. Lineup for Italy is generally as follows:

Buffon
Zambrotta Cannavaro Chiellini Grosso
De Rossi Marchisio Camoranesi
Iaquinta Pirlo Gilardino/Quagliarella (lots of indecision on the last spot)

The thought seems to be that Pirlo - if he plays - will play further up the pitch.

I hope this does indeed happen, he'll do amazing there. Whenever he has the chance to move upfront without having to think about getting back immediately to defend he does great whether from the sideline or on the central axis. He has become a good 10 now I think it's time he's allowed to roam upfront, in Milan too.

I don't see why they were saying he would not start he did well against Georgia.

Huntelaar on the bench tonight for Holland, let's hope he comes on and bags a hat-trick, or more.

Quite alot of talk abot the Euro2008 qualifying in the pre-match build-up. I think the England team will surely know how much the fans want revenge.

Come on England! (and Holland!)

(EDIT: Due to the Belarus-Ukraine score, England only need a point to go to South Africa!)

Penalty England, should have been given (in fact we should have had 2 by now!).

Amazing pass from Pirlo there

Iaquinta's miss was horrible, this is what Lippi gets for calling up cr@p players just because they play for zebras (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Why is Rossi on the bench while this useless dud starts??
