I don't think anyone is hurling abuse at him. There's a difference anyway, Pirlo doesn't often speak out, so nobody believed it for a second. Pato has spoken out of turn in the past, so it's harder to believe him, there's also a number of Pato to Chelsea rumours, not just one paper. My personal opinion is that he'll sign a new contract and stay, for what it's worth.

He won't go anywhere this summer. He will get a better contract too. How long do you expect him to stay though, how long in a team fighting for 4th place? We need to get serious to keep our players.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Jun 19 2009, 01:22 PM) People abusing Pato over what the Sun ((IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) claims to be his words (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ( I would be seriously interested if Chelsea called me) I can't remember if it was the Mirror or the Sun (then again, it's hard to differentiate crap from crap), but I saw an article over a month ago in which nearly every sentence began with, "We were the first to report that..." It was pretty hysterical.

It's so funny that no big screaming headlines have come out of England with this. I suppose because its not beneficial to them (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Another important factor to take into account is Galliani saying that his contract will be renewed. Hopefully they'll give him the type of salary he deserves...

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jun 25 2009, 07:04 PM) Where was this from?
The reason I don't really care for what he has to say is because it's quite obvious he's been told to say it. Why would he be all for a move and then suddenly change his tone? He changes his mind too often and it's hard to believe a thing he says now to be honest when he talks about staying. Hmm, he changed his mind or his words were conveniantly twisted around by the oh so reliable Daily star and The Mirror? I think this is way more believable then all the supposed fawning over Carlo Pato has supposedly been doing. Carlo and Pato have obviously never had the easiest of relationships. And I seriously doubt that Carlo is going after the 19 year old while he has old timers like Drogba and Anelka. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Carlo will go after Pirlo/Gattuso/Seedorf before ever even dreaming of buying Pato. It's just the british media wanting the next wonder kid to come to the Premier league. They need a big signing, especially after the loss of CR

Most of the time they've been twisted by journalists or they are fake and even if they have been really spoken, footballers rarely say what they think, they are even less trustworthy than women in that aspect!

I really don't care what Pato said. He's Brazillian...sooner or later he will leave. I'm more worried that he doesn't leave now. We're on a rather sensitive period...where we're rebuilding our team looking for pillars to build on. It's important we decide once and for all who stays and who goes.
This x amount of money..he stays...but y amount of money he goes is a BS philosophy and not good for the team.
