QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Jun 21 2009, 11:36 AM) Nah...that one was caught right up front. It was a cool idea though. I should get something like that done for myself.
But on topic...would you be interested in Owen, if his wage demands were halved. 50 per week. Owen really isn't good enough, in my opinion. Unfortunately, we have Heskey, who would no doubt be putting in a word to bring Owen in. Heskey and Owen don't have 1% of the goal threat, combined, that Carew does.

The Villa fan base is growining.. Ozzy and the rest of Black Sabbath are Villa fans, as is future King of England Prince William, possible future PM (though hopefully not) David Cameron and actor Tom Hanks.. now we have a new addition. (IMG: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g31/Wainy316/bret.jpg) Bret Hart, Villa fan, awesome. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I'm sure Habitant will know who he is, if others don't. What're you crazy? I mean who doesn't know Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. WTF..though. I bet you guys paid him money to endorse you. I mean how else would a Canadian know of a mediocre club like Villa. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE Fiorentina Friendly
Villa will host Italian giants Fiorentina in a prestigious pre-season friendly.
The two-time Serie A champions will take on Martin O'Neill's men on Saturday August 8 at 3pm - the weekend before the start of the new Barclays Premier League campaign.
This is the second high-profile friendly home fixture in three years - with Inter Milan the visitors in 2007.
Fiorentina, managed by popular Cesare Prandelli, are impressive opponents with a terrific track record. They lifted the league title in 1956 and 1969 as well as the Italian Cup in 1940, 1961, 1966, 1975, 1996 and 2001.
The current side, featuring hotshot former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu and French international goalkeeper Sebastien Frey, have qualified for the play-offs of the Champions League next season after finishing fourth in the league in the last campaign.
Manager Martin O'Neill said: "To follow up our Peace Cup participation with a home game against real quality European opposition in Fiorentina is fantastic and ideal preparation for the start of the season.
"If it's half as good as the match against Inter Milan two seasons ago, it will be terrific."
Fiorentina coach Prandelli added: "We are extremely honoured to be playing against such a prestigious English club. It is a privilege for us to come to England and play a friendly match at Villa Park in preparation for the play-offs of the Champions League."
Click here for all the ticket information surrounding this cracking clash. I'm pleased with this. It's only our 2nd home friendly in about 15 years and should be another good game. Hopefully Fiorentina put out their best XI, I'm sure they will as Inter did, which was quite a nice surprise.

WOW that will be a great game. There is United, Madrid, Milan and the other giants but these clubs right here are the heart and soul of football! I'm not going to miss it.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jun 26 2009, 11:41 PM) You sarcastic little fucker. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) For once I was being serious... I guess that's what I deserve for being like that all the time.
