To be fair Torres is ok. He has carried that team a lot. But Lamps not being present is pure scandal. I don't like the man much, but he has been good.

As long as you're not a Liverfool player or Man Yoo player, you don't get the credit you deserve in that league. But if you are on those teams, you will be overrated until your head explodes

Torres is a good player, no question, but he must have only played half of the games this season! Surely you'd have to play at least 75% or so! I still have to laugh at the Giggs selection, it'd be like naming Maldini World Player of the Year, just because he's yet to win it.

This bit right here might interest some of you .. Banks in England take the grounds of the EPL team as collateral. Meaning, if United fail to pay, Old Trafford is automatically under the bank and all the proceeds goes to the bank until the debt amount is recovered by the bank

It makes sense doesn't it. How else can Manchester get a loan?? You're aren't just given a loan for 500 million + pounds purely on the basis of reputation.

This was why the Glazer deal was so controversial. They'd taken over, with money gotten by using the club assets as collateral.

Well the vice-head of the credit department @ RBS was a guest speaker at the bank and was giving us a lecture, during the break we had a chat about football and this was a nice bit which I thought would be appropriate to share, amongst other things (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

No, I know that. I presumed United and whoever else were getting so much money because Barclays sponsors the league, what better way for them to make a return by helping the league become the very best? If they didn't give out the money they do, it wouldn't be the best, they wouldn't make as much of a return, etc.

I'm not a fan of this, personally. It looks something like Tron meets Robocop.

I'm more interested in seeing their away jerseys. How about fluorescent pink this time? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Expect to see that design implemented into our shirts next season, and if you think it looks baad on a Chelsea shirt, think of how bad it will look along with the stripes.

Adidas haven't come out with a good kit design since the 03/04 season...
