Maldini para SIEMPRE. His reading of the game is fantastic - with Ambrosini in front to do the running at a defensive CM, Paolo could play another 5 years

He and Inzaghi will play until they get their retirement pensions jajjaajja

Man..I'm just going to cry when he leaves....(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Can it even be Milan without Maldini?? I hope he like attends every match,we're in from next season on...so we can see him, and it'll be like he never left... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

CAPTAIN RECORD

2/27/2009 1:58:00 PM

Our captain left Europe. Disappointed for the elimination, but with his head held high for his history and his performance. The numbers and past results are of the highest level.

(IMG:http://media2.acmilan.com/200804/9988_news.jpg)

MILAN - Paolo Maldini debuted on the international scene with Milan's shirt almost 24 years ago. It was September 18 1985, Milan were facing Auxerre in France, in the Uefa Cup. The defensive line was made up of Tassotti, Filippo Galli, Franco Baresi and the same Paolo. The French side won 3-1, but in the second leg, always with Maldini on the pitch, the Rossoneri's team qualified thanks to a 3-0 win at San Siro.

From that double clash until today, Paolo Maldini has the following record: 139 in the Champions Cup/Champions League, 22 in the Uefa Cup and 7 in the European Super Cup. Apart from 7 games in the Interncontinental Cup. In total 168 official games with the Milan shirt in the European cups and 7 games in world scene in the Fifa competition.

Something unique, extraordinary, unrepeatable. Last night the last act, against Werder Bremen in the Uefa Cup. This second part of the Rossoneri's season contains inside a series of 'last times' of the captain and putting them together one after another can appear repetetive, but an international parable like the one of Paolo Maldini cannot be accompanied with all the honours. Something fantastic which ends is never something negative. Never.

that we supported galliani's idea of this bullsh*t. Kept saying it was okay carlo at the helm. Was happy with rewewing contracts with favalli and buying players like emerson.

Board walked all over us. Heck they would have even sold kaka if no one said anything.

^^^ This man speaketh the truth. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) I still think the mess is too big to blame a single entity or person. But I think it can safely be said that if we had a somewhat more adventurous coach a lot of this could have been avoided. At the very least we could have created new superstars out of our young player - which is more than that can be said for chaps like Emerson and Brocchi; they just did their trade and will go/went away.

Again with the baseless accusations, blue. The board would've sold Kaka had nobody said anything? Please cite sources and provide links.

And acid, with all due respect, I think you're out of line in blaming it all on the coach.

And the members of milanfan.com are responsible for this? I think you overestimate the influence of fans.

I was talking about our entire population. I think you underestimate the power of fans. Without us, the club would not be functioning. Its a business before a sport.

Again with the sources and citation accusations. I will not change what I say, and I doubt I am the only one who thinks like this. (acid as one source). So if you dont like what i write then please ignore my posts, like i stated earlier.
