Erm Morratti is the exception here, not because they are able to spend (Juve and Milan can spend BIG too), but because they are so loathsome, considering the situation.

Thing is Dida is on £4m a season(£80,000 a week) and no team can continue to pay that much for a player who doesn't earn the club any money. players who score goals are going to be the ones who sell shirts etc, but 'keepers aren't hence why forwards earn more than 'keepers. You say that no 'keeper is perfect but IMO Buffon is 99% perfect. Buffon would probably get us another 10 points per season with his saves which could mean the difference between first and second place. fact of the matter is that Gigi is the best 'kepper around IMO.

Even so, Galliani does not need to constantly air out the details of our finances and constantly begging this club and that club to give away their players for free (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I don't know what kind of world he's living in but no club in their right minds would go for it.

Face it, it gives Milan a bad name with his constant declerations of poverty, as kurt said, being the most titled club has no standing in this, in fact I find Galliani's constant need to point it out more then tasteless.

And yes Milan have become something of a laughing stock and that is mainly down to Galliani, I'm not just talking about people here in Malta just look around some forums on the net and you can see exactly what I'm talking about.

You can't really compare how we live here in Malta to what is happening in Italy and your theory about Italy's situation being related to Milan's unwillingness to buy is still not proven to be a solid point since whenever Milan make a big purchase no matter the money, Silvio always does well on the political front. A lot of Italians even go as far as saying that R10 is nothing but a political stunt on the part of Silvio.

I would never think any less of Milan just because people talk BS about the club but the fact that Galliani's constant talk in the media Milan are suffering a hit in the public eye. I don't know what the hell our marketing department are doing but I'm sure that if they were smart the would tell Galliani to shut up because Milan as a brand will suffer.

As for Fiorentina, you said it yourself, they are not a club that has the funds to make big money purchases yet they had a mercato that was better then ours, they spent close to €35m on players and they haven't said that their mercato is even finished, us on the other hand have the strong finacial backing and the more lucrative sponsorships and can;t even match them in terms of money spending
