QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ May 26 2008, 04:47 PM)
No, we don't need a young keeper, that's why we have our primaveras. We need a quality first keeper, and Lloris would be a gamble.
Exactly. Why all the talk about not finishing up the small deals when the window's still aren't open? And we did secure Flamini and Zambro, haven't we? Well, that's something to start from...
*

right now we need we a decent keeper, period. i dont care if he's young or middle aged, as long as we have someone for long term and not another quick fix like milan has done recently. i mean would it be the end of the world to have a young keeper? it's not like kalac is any better, he's had plenty of blunders and so did dida. it's not like experience always makes a difference.

sorry to say we dont have any primaveras that could join the first team and make an impact, but there are plenty of young prospects out there that could.

anyways it's not so much the finishing deals off but more other clubs swooping in at the last minute and stealing our transfers, it's getting tiring.

If the Amantino Mancini deal is an exchange with Borriello, then... it will be lovely.

I always liked Mancini. He can be useful as he can play in almost every single place in the attack.

IF we lose Lloris that would be very bad. Coupet would be a very stupid transfer.

There is still other keepers on the market though,

amelia
akinfeev
ochoa

in terms of keepers we can target.

there is

hildebrand
enke

....

Time for a new one since it seems Zambrotta will come.

Okay, realistically I know it's a long shot but he has been and continues to be my first pick for keeper if we get someone young. And it's NOT just because he's cute. This guy's really really good. I doubt Leverkusen would let him go easily, though.

Yap. It's very unlikely to sign him. He has signed a new contract with Leverkusen just half a year ago. Plus Leverkusen want to build a team that can compete for the Meisterschaft. And for that they need the (atm second, Lehmann is slightly better) best German goalie.

still i'd take him any day. he's still considerably young.

I'd rather we bring back Foggia than buying Ribery. He's young and a youth product, but since Carlo is staying another 2 years we won't use any wingers (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Oh and about Lloris I think if Lyon are making him their number one, it means a lot about his quality in my opinion ... anyway we'll have the chance to see him perform next year ... in the CL!

One must give Ribery credit. I can't stand him or his team (the latter I really hate) but he's been amazing. He scored 11 goals which is wworth even more considering Bayerns midfield isn't the best and he lacks support.

Sure, he's been great for his team this season and deserves the credit. Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying that next year he'll probably perform less, exactly like he did at Marseille, of course I could be wrong but only time can tell ...

If we are going to bring in a winger we should be looking at Abate, he has been very impressive for Italy recently

From what I was of him, I think he's great pace but no particular dribbling or crossing skills and for a winger it's more than necessary, but I saw only one match so I can't really have an opinion about him ...
