Predictions based on nothing? Let me see.. Inter are heading towards their 3rd title in a row, with Mancini. I rate Jose much higher than Mancini, therefore I think Inter will be even better.

I agree with what you said here, the only thing is that we're making changes too (and here I'm talking about transfers, in the transfer section!) but you don't seem to take that in account ...

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 17 2008, 04:20 PM)
I never said they haven't had better coahces/squds, but it's also irrelevant. THIS squad and manager is the best in the country, which I personally believe will be upgraded by Jose if he were to join. Admiration? I wouldn't say that, it's more respect. I'm not from Milan so why should I hate Inter? They are not my local rivals, I don't see their fans all the time to give me any reason to hate them.
*

You're wrong (keep in mind that individuals doesn't make a team), but since I don't know a sh!t about football ...

QUOTE (Porty @ May 17 2008, 04:24 PM)
So why they were there?

Again: I think our management talks too much and do f all.

Galliani should worry less about the "class", the "club piu titolato al mondo", "1st in UEFA ranking" and the "a posto cosí" things and start thinking about winning titles.

Because while we talk shite, Inter is winning (telecom or not). And will continue to do so as long as we keep cnuting about everything bar thinking of winning.

And to wait for the "UEFA Cup place" to start a revolution (we won't do it though but it's what we need) it's beyond pathetic.
*

Agreed.

But tell me, does this mean that we'll be trashed and won't win a thing next season as you and others seem to think?

It's simple. If we can't do anything against this Inter (-21 p) with internal problems, lots of injuries and a shitty coach... what can we do against Mourinho's Inter?

They'll be stronger, united and with no b/s. I've no doubt. I'd love to see them fail but Mourinho would only join them knowing he'll suceed just like he did in every club he managed.

The -21pts has nothing to do with them being strong, it's our squad that lacked depth and quality rotation and didn't bother fighting or the championship, so basically if we manage to make some great transfers we'll be able to compete with them Mourinho or not.

Maybe they'll be stronger, but so we will! and I have no doubt about the quality of our players and absolute faith in their abilities, the fact that we weren't that far from them in the last 2 season we played them tells you a lot about the temperament of our team.

I'd be delighted to see the merda with Mourinho against Milan next season, saying that Mourinho will join them because he'll succeed is putting too much faith on his abilities in my opinion (remember that when he was at Chelsea we played them in a couple of friendlies and we weren't any lesser). Anyway, will see what happens next year, but I'm sure about one thing, Milan is going the right direction and will compete for the scudetto next year along with the zebras, Roma and the merda.

How can you guys just brush off mourinho and say that its not guaranteed he won't succeed. He took a club like chelsea and did wonders with them. He won the CL with porto and eliminated all the big guns.

I find it funny when you guys say that with mourinho inter will still remain the same.

(merda leadership have high positions in Telecom Italia, Trini. A lot of people think they're the ones who leaked the calciopoli phone taps to the police.)

As for the ongoing Mourinho debate...it does not belong in this thread, guys. If you want to talk about someone who might be a coach for another Serie A team, please do it in the thread with his name on it.

This is a thread for MILAN transfers this summer. Please stay on topic.

Thanks.

+1

I hope the news about signing Lloris are true and Abbiati should stay away from Milan. We don't need that.....

Mourinho is a very good manager, yes. Though his team's style of play is too rigid for my taste, nevertheless he got results. But with that said, he had the strongest squad (not starting XI, but squad in depth and all) at Chelsea. He brought players at any cost, to build a team, able to mount a challenge in the EPL and the CL.

About the Porto and CL issue .. I mean, who did Porto eliminate to get to the final ? And after that, who did they play in the final ? In short, he had a very good squad, the team never faced any of the giants through the road to the final .. Sure it was a deserved victory, but it doesn't deserve all this attention that is being given. At the time it was nice seeing a team like Porto reach the final and win it .. But believe me, it all happened during a time when there was no one who went the full stretch for that particular CL; Madrid was in the midst of its Galactico destruction, Milan threw it away against Deportivo (Milan holders), etc etc ..

I don't think you can discredit how Porto won it. They stuffed a Moncao team in the Final, who had beaten Chelsea in the SFs. They beat Deportivo who embarassed us in the 2nd leg, and then they beat United.

Winning the European Cup, no matter who you play, is a great accomplishment. The only thing that I feel makes winning the European Cup less 'special' is if you don't show up in the league. That's why a League + Cl double is amazing to do.

If we could possibly get RvN it would be fantastic. I think he does want to acheive 2 more thing sin his club career: Win Serie A (To complete the Serie A/EPL/La Liga league winners medal collection) and to win the European Cup. The latter being a problem as he's already 31 and were probably not going to be in it next season. Maybe Inter or Juve, a slight chance we'd get him, but i doubt it.
