Yep, he's the man. He said he'd liked to have done it for the home game, but it would have cost him around £500,000 to do it, and he's only on about £20,000 a week, so it's not something he could really afford. This is the kind of thing that make fans remember a player. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

QUOTE (Bluesummers @ May 13 2008, 07:14 PM) Mellberg agrees terms with juvedamn that sux. I thought he was villa faithful. He agreed to join them in January. But while we're disappointed he's not staying, both the manager and the fans know who deserves a shot at the CL. he stayed with us while we were fighting relegation and turned down moves to the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs who were in Europea year after year. He's now 30 and gave us his best years, so I'm glad he'll be getting a shot at the CL! Loyalty works both ways. He was loyal to us, stayed with us through all the ****, now I think it's only right we pay him back by letting him move on to try and acheive something big in his career.

QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ May 13 2008, 07:16 PM) Barzagli linked with Wolfsburg. Why have we not made a move for him and Zaccardo They're not Brazilian that's why. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ May 13 2008, 09:41 PM) On another note, i heard Mellberg gave 3,200 travelling fans signed shirts from his own money (£40,000) after the West Ham match That is an incredible act of generosity, which is none to prevalent these days, with massive ego's in footballers Nice! I'm glad he's not, the world of football needs more players like him!

Something tells me you'd have liked Mellberg to come over with us, Kurt, instead of the Zebras? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I'd personally have loved him in Milan instead of Juve, seeing as I don't see the black and whites mounting a serious challenge for quite some time. They'd go to the quarters and semis, like Inter and Roma. It's going to be the usual English suspects, and the big three (Milan, Madrid and Munich), with an odd alternate club for Europe's top prize for the foreseeable future.

Kaladze sure is a lickerish lad... he must be giving some good job to Barbara or/and Carletto thus he's got his place secured... sadly enough, I can't see him being benched... of course I'd rather not ever see him again!
