Such a nice person? Are you kidding me? Ronaldo is the best player that has played for Inter in (Massimo) Moratti's era and one if his own favorites... if he didn't even make a call I would not consider him a human being!

can someone please confirm that the reoprts of milan wanting to extned ronaldos contract isnt true! like what are they thinking? he just had a huge possibly career ending injury and they wanna extend his contract?! dont u think u outta wait to see how his recovery progresses befor u shoot urself in the foot? why have the possibility of wasting salary cap and space in the roster wait and see how he comes along first. and even if he comes back they should only pen him a new deal just to sell him to the msl and cash out on him. out with the old and in with the new!

The only possible contract that he might earn is Based on Appearances one.

Each match he plays, he'll get a salary or better call it bonus.

Don’t worry; when it comes to money our management is very smart (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Don Fabio on Ronie's injury:

"Unfortunately I saw it live and I was very sad. Aside from everything that's been said, I have always claimed he is the best player I've ever coached, even superior to Marco Van Basten.

"Unfortunately this is a very serious injury and he will have to work hard to come back. I hope he does, because players like him are too important for football. He has to make it, he has to find back the pride and the will to come back."

PSG PLAYERS SET TO VISIT RONALDO

Ronaldo will receive a special visit this Wednesday, when the Paris Saint-Germain squad make the trip to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in the French capital, where Il Fenomeno has been recovering from knee surgery since last Thursday.

Among the players planning to visit the striker are three of his compatriots: former São Paulo playmaker Souza, Everton Santos, formerly of Corinthians, and ex-Internacional wing-back Ceará, along with the club's Portuguese captain Pauleta.

Ronaldo is scheduled to leave hospital on Friday, although he will spend another week in Paris as he continues his recuperation.

In all, the player will spend a month undergoing treatment in Europe, a decision that was taken following a meeting between AC Milan's doctors and the medical team of Gérard Saillant, who carried out last week's operation on the footballer.

-------------------------------------------------

LUIS FABIANO DISMAYED AT RONALDO INJURY

Luis Fabiano is the latest of Ronaldo’s selecao teammates to express his solidarity with Il Fenomeno, following his knee tendon injury last week in AC Milan’s match against Livorno.

"I was very upset by Ronaldo’s injury,” Fabiano told Fobazo. “He is one of the best Brazilian footballers of all time and it is very sad that he has to go through all this again.”

The player known as ‘the Fabulous’, who currently leads the scoring charts in the Spanish league, said that he would be rooting for Ronaldo’s swift return to the top.

"I hope that he makes a rapid recovery and gets back to playing the way he was before,” he added.

REAL MADRID STAR GIVES BACKING TO RONALDO

When Robinho arrived at Real Madrid in 2005, he used to referred to his new teammate, Ronaldo as the President – a sign of his longstanding respect for his fellow forward.

Robinho, who lists Ronaldo as his main role model, says he has always been able to rely on his fellow forward for support in the past. And he says it is now time for him to reciprocate.

"I speak from my heart when I say that I wish Ronaldo all the best. He has always been a great friend,” Robinho told Fobazo. “He has always been a big source of strength for me, so now it is time for me to do the same for him.”

And Robinho is confident that it is only a matter of time before Ronaldo is back performing at the highest level.

"I don’t have the slightest doubt that he’s going to come through this. Ronaldo is a big character, with great force of will, and he will give everything to get what he wants. He will soon be back to being the great player he always was,” he added.

MARTA: FOOTBALL LOVERS EVERYWHERE ARE BACKING RONALDO

When she witnessed the moment Ronaldo suffered his injury on Wednesday night, Marta admits to being overcome by sadness.

"I felt really, really upset when I saw what happened. He had just come back from a minor problem and seemed happy,” the Umea midfielder told Fobazo.

The FIFA Women’s Player of the Year, who is heading to Russia on Saturday for the Laureus Awards ceremony, was keen to remind Ronaldo that there are no shortage of people around the world wishing him well.

“We’re all rooting for him – anyone who loves football,” she said.

(I'm translating an Italian article which is quoting a Brazilian article here. So apologies in advance if I screw it up).

Ronaldo has apparently said in a phone interview that he wants to return earlier than the 9 months currently predicted.

He's getting a lot of visitors and phone calls. Kaka (a 'good friend') has called regularly. Ronie's set to leave the hospital on Friday. To pass the time until then, he's watched TV - including a documentary on Iraq and one about koala bears. However, much to his annoyance, he couldn't watch Brazilian tv so he missed the weekly episode of 'Sete Pecados' (which, from the context, is a soap opera of sorts. I think). However, due to a computer in his hospital room, he was able to cast a vote for the elimination of one of the competitors of the Brazilian version of Big Brother.

Sounds like he's in good spirits. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/96.gif)

Seriously shocking...

QUOTE
Zinedine Zidane was unable to contact hospitalised star Ronaldo as he recovers from his horrific knee injury because the hospital operator didn’t know who the Frenchman was.

Ronaldo is in hospital in Paris having undergone surgery for the career-threatening ruptured tendon in his knee that he suffered in last Wednesday’s match with Livorno.

Messages of support have flooded in for El Fenomeno, who is set to be out of the game for at least nine-to-twelve months.

One of these well-wishers was none other than France legend Zinedine Zidane, who is a former team-mate of Ronaldo from their time together at Real Madrid.

Zidane yesterday rang up the hospital that Ronaldo is staying at in order to speak to his old colleague and friend.

When the hospital telephone operator asked who was calling, incredibly the name Zinedine Zidane was not recognised by the employee, thus the 1998 World Cup winner was not granted permission to speak to Ronaldo.

Zidane only retired from football in 2006, after winning one Champions League, one World Cup and one European Championship.

I refuse to acknowledge that a single person in Paris does not know who he is. The operator must have thought it was a hoax or he/she just does not like him...
