The second we bench Pato for Gila , its gonna start all over again. Everybody trying to supply poor Gila , he gets a few chances , wasted them all and we will blaim carlo for not playing Pato. I've said it many times before, we need a striker who can do it on his own. Pato is like that , my god , how many times did he lost the ball sunday ? once ? i cant remember ... Gila is just not good enough , to me. Can he prove himself , good for Milan ! But this is his third year at Milan , pato made more impact in 45 minutes . I dont think his time will ever come. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This striking force PAKARO is complete. Fielding Gila is asking for trouble again .

Gila has been great whenever he was fielded with an SS, it's a shame he's written off as soon as a new forward arrived.

I don't think Pato even needs to score goals to be effective he just needs to be on the pitch putting pressure on defenders something i don't think inzaghi or gila will be able to do as well as Pato. With Pato he gives us this new dimension to our game i think we underestimate it,having strikers who can take the ball from deep and attack the defense, its something Barcelona does very well i was kinda jealous that they have the players for it, BUT don't fret we have the players to do this too !! = ) As for the being 18yrs old thing, i'm not sure if Ancellotti would even take that into consideration hahaha....i mean we did pay alot for him, more than usual for a player that age and we keep hearing Ancelotti(and the rest of the team) say how mature he is. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=547795not sure how reliable that translation is in the quotes but it does look like gila is gonna sit out =D =D

A journalist in a Greek sports newspaper devoted his column to Pato's heroics against Napoli and he wrote something I had never heard or read of before: He wrote that when Pato was 10 years old, it was discovered that he had a benign tumour in his arm that could develop into cancer. His family could not afford to pay for the required surgery but thankfully a family friend and doctor payed for the medical expenses! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) [It seems like he's following the path of Kaka. He had that accident in the pool too and also had some growth problems. I hope Alexandre becomes as successful as Ricardo is.] In the same article it is written that when Ancelotti traveled to Canada to take a personal look on Pato, Milan asked Patrick Comnenos (not sure about the way it's written), an FIFA delegate and Greek Super League's executive director to help the coach with everything he would possible need. Carletto watched Brazil's game vs the USA, a game that Brazil lost and in which Pato put up a poor display. The journalist then claims (he is an excellent journalist and one that is close to the Greek league's officials so I take what he says seriously) that the Greek official asked coach Ancelotti "What do you plan to do now?" and the latter replied "We're going to buy him anyway cause we've been following him for almost one and a half year".

The thing with Gila is that he's a confidence player. When he's confident, he's really quite good. The problem is that right now...he's got NO confidence.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jan 15 2008, 11:35 PM) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE (dst) Gila has been great whenever he was fielded with an SS, it's a shame he's written off as soon as a new forward arrived. Exactly. And Gila's the only chance we've had for goals recently, who else is going to score? Ronaldo and Inzaghi? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) In my opinion Gila has the same problem Sheva does, the teams expecting him to play in a system that he's less effective in. If the whole team is playing for Gilla, like we did for Sheva, and he starts playing like he did in Parma, thatn i'm with two hands in for that! Because there, he scored goal after goal! And now with Pato near him and KaKa behind.. Damn, i'm dreaming again...

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Jan 16 2008, 01:08 AM) I think that's what our future attack will be. R9s coming towards the end of his career and is always injured. (P.S. Nice sig!) And in case Gilla keeps standing on the pitch like a tree and the ball just keep hitting him and goes away and he can do nothing about it! God, please, send us Amauri!
