i think it's a good decision on his part. although fernando meira is a pretty darn good DB as well.

Agreed, I rate him very highly.

Portugal will have a very good squad at Euro2008. I think all they need is a great striker, a finisher. Pauleta, Gomes and Postiga aren't quite good enough for that.

Of course I credit them for breaking that record! But you're doing the opposite of what I am doing, you are praising them way too much! I mean... we've all seen Barcelona play this season and it's more than obvious that Messi is their driving force. With Messi gone, Barcelona can't function you saw that yourself yesterday... In any case, what I am saying is this win does make Real "the best in team in Europe by far" just like a defeat would not make them any worse than they are...

PS Fantastic display by Pepe!

Meira can play as CB or DM. He's good but comparing him to Pepe is like comparing Kaladze to Nesta. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

all i know is real madrid is the team i hate the most in the world. their management and their fans included are a bunch of spoiled greedy arrogant little brats, i just hate everything about their philosophy.barca could of played van bommel, cordoba, ronaldo, carragher, savage (for kurt (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) and coached by domenech and i'd still go them over real.

I think Madrid outplayed Barca ... They deserved the win and they deserved to win by more than a goal difference.

At the same time, I think Rijkaard f***ed up by taking Deco off. Cuz once he did that, he disturbed the balance of the team. And Barca played from the back heel since that substitution.

Catalan papers, El Mundo Deportivo, say Ronaldinho -OR- Rijkaard may leave Barcelona in January.

... to Chelsea or Tottenham.

If Shevchenko or Drogba leave then he'd have a place in Chelsea. To Tottenham... I doubt, I mean... Villa deserves a big club - a top club/team.

Why would he leave Valencia for Tottenham!?? Unless Valencia fail to qualify for next season's CL + Tottenham make it in the top 4 + he doesn't have any other offers (...) I don't see him making that move... even in that case I don't consider it possible.

Would be great if we can buy him, but probably won't happen. I can't see us going into bidding war.

On todays showing I can't see Sheva leaving Chelsea, unless he wants to leave. Jose played him out of position most of the time, and now he's got his first real chance as a Chelsea player. 4 goals in 6 his last 6 games, a magical performance today, added a great assist on Alex's goal to go with his brace. No idea why they took him off.

It's nice to see Sheva's return to form.

Probably the best brazillian coach, proven in Brazil. In Europe... it's another thing.
