This is start of a new era and we are in a very scary phase: "Realization"

Meaning after a string of results like this, the management will start to accept the situation as it is and leave denialville. There is a chance we won't finish top 4 this season, so I see a new era of younger, not so prolific Milan. Kind of like Juve this season. About at least 10 players in our squad need to be shown the door. And new blood must be injected. This is modern football, and we need to role with the punches until we get it. We won the CL? Great, let's build on that. We learned our lesson and this early into the season.
*

Funny that you say that we should build on that win when that win has clearly made our management more delusional then they already were to begin with (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

As for how these string of results will open their eyes, I seem to recall last season us haveing the same problem, or was it worse and they still did nothing this summer

whats sad is we had the perfect situation to build on our CL win. look at liverpool since they've won the CL, right away they got ride of the useless players that had the odd good game and only played well in a few CL matches. then finally got financial backing... look how much better they are now, they arent clinging on like we're doing with these old players.

Like last season, I think our problem is motivation.

Carletto can't motivate them anymore. That's why they, logically, just perform in the Champions League when half of the world is watching.

Serie A? Yeah, right. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Sack Carlo and prepare a new era in the club. 10 players out 10 players in, new coach, new staff....

This team is just pathetic. So are those "let's be supportive" people.

Of colurse Athens was as special for me too. I'm not devaluing that win, it was probably one of our most special wins because of who it was against.

BUT with that said, we all knew that once we won that cup Galliani wouldn't make the VERY NECCISARY changes he needed to make in the team. And surprise surprise that is what happened
*

Well, we can't draw any conclusions about that han ... I mean, this team did well last season, despite all the difficulties.

With that said, the management and the coach agreed to keep the same team, with minimal changes. Now, is that the best decision from our management? It is still early to conclude anything really .. It is easy for us to point fingers as we are the on lookers, if u know what I mean ..

what difficulties? the 8 pts? we would have been in 4th with or without them. i'll tell you about difficulties? fiorentina? juve? and look at them now. the only difficulties we had we're self-inflicted with our inability to score.

Exactly, motivation!!!! In the first half I couldn't believe what I was watching, 1-0 down and people strolling around the field.

And ,aybe you're right Carlo might be the problem but I'm not entirely convinced on that. Players who play for the club should just be motivated enough by putting on that shirt!!!!

Players like Cafu, Favalli, Kaladze, Serginho, Inzaghi, Simic and Brocchi all need to be shown the door by next season and should be replaced by younger, talented players who will actually show some passion for the shirt. (I'm only referring to a few about the passion thing, because I have no doubt in my mind that players like Inzaghi have a passion for the shirt but he is simply not good enough) Even Gila, if he doesn't at least get close to 20 goals in the league this season he need to be shown the door.

As for the support thing, I'm still one that will support this team no matter what, but there are different ways of showing it, you can either curse everyone involved or criticise the team in a constructive fashion without resorting to bashing everyone from the president to the ball boys.

anothr problem that no one talks about: WIDTH... we always have to play in our fullbacks they have to runt he whole pitch to get forward and run back to defend. wouldnt it be easier to have WINGERS!?!?! that can dibble and beat defenders and CROSS!?!? one reason i'd like to see carlo leave is he is so closed minded with his tactics, open up man.

We do need to create a new project! This team is going nowhere... maybe they can do well in the CL again but that will only be because they never really competed for the scudetto! This isn't Milan... we must fight for everything, every year!

Until then, I'd like to see Carlo adopt the Roma/Inter way... counter-attacks! We just can't beat these teams playing initiative football! Maybe we can do it another way... and please let Gourcuff play... it's not like he'll ruin our winning streak or anything! We all knew this is gonna happen. But then this is lowest of the low. If there's a positive in this game, it is that at last CA made an offensive sub. True gila and pippo don't combine well, but at least it may have finally got thru Ancelotti's thick scull that you can't expect to play a single striker all the time in seria A and survive. Moreover, it was only when we have two strikers on the field that Kaka had those space to be making those runs. That's before catania brought in player specifically to latch on to him throughout.

I hope Galliani enjoy this. And it is a perfect birthday gift to Berlu.

We go to celtic next. I'm optimistic we will do well. BUt whatever happens, (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

carlo has been getting the tactics wrong all season long. look how effective we are. yet apparently he's supposed to be a master tactician and guys like spaletti and mancini have no chance.

oh btw mancini was the reason inter won yesterday with his tactics, yet he's supposed to be complete sht?

I dont know what to say...

Except Inzaghi should have been taken off for Gourcuff at around the 60-70 minute mark

Please dont bash Gila, whoever was doing it a few pages ago, Inzaghi was far less effective, he is completely useless when outside the box. At least Gila can bring others into play like the Palermo match
