What's the surprise? He said Real don't have the best players in Europe. That's clear. But probably the best squad, yes.
*

Surprisingly, I agree. Real have the best squad in Europe along with Inter. SQUAD... not TEAM (meaning starting XI)! I think it's too attacking personally but still, a great squad!

QUOTE (Porty @ Sep 11 2007, 07:26 PM)
They'll miss him, I've no doubt.
*

Please... He stayed there for 3 seasons and only played the number of games of 1! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE (Porty @ Sep 11 2007, 07:26 PM)
Seriously, look at this
*

Oh, enough with that already! Arsenal score a good 7-0 each season (Sorry, last season it was only 6 AT ANFIELD!) yet people don't talk about it for weeks...

Intercontinental it's different. That's the world title.

3rd choice? Robben is WAY better than Malouda or Cole. The pace, acceleration, speed, tecnique, etc are unique. You don't find a better LW in the world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXO-XYKq3tk

Plus he's 23. He was the most talented player in Chelsea's squad. They'll miss him, I've no doubt.
You forgot the: Ruud and Saviola don't know how to defend.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Seriously, look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTxgFq1YWKY

Only 1 DMC? Yes, and that's enough for La Liga. Barcelona played with no pure-defensive-midfielder and dominated for 3 years. In Europe it's other thing...

Oh and Capello taught them that.  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
*

1 result and ur saying the best team in europe?

the point is they only have 3-4 that will defend, while xavi and deco can defend when needed and for barca they're full backs dont go forward that much so you have a good 4-5 guys that wwont run in the box every chance they get.

I'm not saying they're the best team in Europe.

What I'm saying is that they've the BEST SQUAD [the 20 or 25 players] along with Liverpool, Inter, Barcelona and Chelsea. But that doesn't mean they've a better first 11 than us or Man Utd, Arsenal, Sevilla or Valencia. I meant... the entire squad is better (depth).

I'm saying that since the market close. Real, Liverpool, Inter, Barcelona and Chelsea. It was not because of the 0-5.

In my opinion *********'s squad is not that good! Actually, I think it's worse than Roma's... that's why I believe Benitez is doing an extraordinary job! With the material he has, he's no doubt the most successful manager around!

I don't really like Liverpool, but I agree with Porty here. Crouch has a very good International record, he can't even make the bench at Liverpool, they have superb depth.

They have the 2nd best squad in the EPL, that's for certain.

Crouch has very good technique and he's a good player but not world-class.

Anyway, everyone has their own opinion...

They have depth yeah. They have good players to replace the good ones on their starting XI... Benitez is the one who takes them to another level, he makes them look better than they are, he makes them look great!

GK: Reina, Itandje

RB: Finnan, Arbeloa
LB: Riise, Arbeloa, Aurelio
CB: Carragher, Agger, Hyppia, Arbeloa

CM/OMC/DMC:
Mascherano, Gerrard, Sissoko, Xabi Alonso, Lucas Leiva, Benayoun <- Impressive. The best CM in Europe IMO.

LW: Babel, Kewell, Riise, Aurelio, Pennant, Leto
RW: Benayoun, Pennant, Gerrard

FW/ST: Torres, Voronin, Kuyt, Crouch

I wish we had that depth... and yes, Benitez is something. But compare Liverpool to Roma?

I mean, you know I hate Barcelona (the club, the city, the people from there, etc) but I admit they've a top-squad this season. Probably their best squad ever. It's really amazing.

Well, opinions. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) IMHO Liverpool along with Chelsea have the best squad (20-25 players) in the EPL.

Itandje, Finnan, Arbeloa, Riise, Aurelio, Agger, Kewell, Pennant are all mediocre player while Leiva and Leto are pretty much unknown!

Most of *********'s players are not that good in my view. The team has made them look good and Benitez... kinda like Kaladze (and so many others) in Milan...

I compare them to Roma yes. I think Roma have a better starting XI and they have equally good bench players... it's all about the team they are in!

I hate nobody! I do dislike Real as much as I dislike ********* and I just admitted they have an impressive squad, probably the best in Europe...

Finnan, Riise, Agger and Kewell mediocre? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Even Pennant now is showing some good stuff.

Better starting XI? Well, I hope they play in the last 16 or in the CL quarter-finals. Liverpool would eat'em alive.

Opinions. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Well... yes! Kewell not so but he's always injured.

Oh they certainly would! Cause they have a shirt that weighs many tons!! Roma is not a big club in my view... But I'd rather see the Italian side go through! Not just against them, for as long as possible...

U have a point there ... But overall I agree with him, Liverpool have great depth, but not close to the quality of Milan. I mean, look at our first XI and compare it to theirs .. They r still lacking.

Well for dst, there are only two LBs in the world...Maldini and Carlos...all the rest are mediocre. Looking at it from that point of view I don't blame him. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
