There's an article in the Saturday print edition of Gazzetta (page 5). I haven't seen an online version of the article but can type out the Italian if anyone is really interested.

The doctors at Milan Lab have diagnosed Ronaldo with Hypothyroidism. They say that this is the reason why his weight isn't dropping despite the fact that he isn't eating much. He's been diagnosed medication to correct the imbalance and should, according to the article, be fine.

Maybe now, after the treatment, he would be even in better shape than last season. He just needs to be careful with injuries.

Ronaldo: Let Capello Say What He Wants

Ronaldo hasn't quite forgiven Fabio Capello for his recent faint praise. The AC Milan striker publicly clashed with the Italian coach while the pair were at Real Madrid, and even with Capello's recent declarations about Ronaldo's talent, the Brazilian striker remains aggrieved...

Ronaldo still hasn't forgiven Fabio Capello for accusations of unprofessionalism.

The former Madrid coach was recently quoted as saying, "Ronaldo was not a good example in training. And for me, training is sacred."

But he has also said, "Ronaldo is the greatest soccer player that I have ever trained in my life."

So, there was praise and scorn for the controversial Brazilian forward. Ronaldo, though, refused to accept what he saw as a contradiction from the 'Don.'

"Sometimes he says that I'm the best player he's ever worked with, and other times he says that I'm not so good and don't show persistence," blasted the AC Milan forward.

"I do not know... let's leave the 'great one' behind," he added.

Ronaldo's departure from Real Madrid, ending a near-five year connection with the Bernabeu club, came around this January partially thanks to his frosty relationship with Capello.

Capello himself was to follow Ronaldo out the exit door a few months later as he was sacked in the close-season by Madrid president Ramon Calderon.

The 'Don' now works as a co-commentator for RAI television, while Ronaldo is expected to play a major role in Milan's bid to win the Serie A title, not to mention their defence of the Champions League.

Hope this guy stays fit for at least 90% of the season... we need him if we want to win more than 1 competition.

Everybody accused him to lead a not very professional life because of his not really athletic form, it seems, instead, that the weight problems of Brazilian champion Ronaldo are due to hypothyroidism. It was detected by the AC Milan medical staff that made the 2006 Golden Foot winner start a pharmacological treatment straightaway. In few days the treatment proved to be effective as Ronaldo has soon lost 5 kilos (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) and kept on training while waiting for his forthcoming return to the pitch after the physical troubles that delayed his debut in the current season. In particular, AC Milan would like him to play the Champions League, a tournament that Ronaldo could not play with the Rossoneri, who eventually won it, because in 2005 he had already entered the pitch with Real Madrid CF during some Champions League matches.

What's Ronaldo's actual injury at the moment? Or is it just a lack of match fitness right now? Or the weight thing?

I think what Galliani said was that they don't see anything particularly wrong with his thigh muscle but he is still feeling pain

Ronaldo will be off to Brazil tonight. Milan want him to recover with a brazillian doctor.

15 days off, says MediaSet. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
