Milan will field an attacking line up as they search for the three points at Udinese, Coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed.
The Rossoneri got back to winning ways against Catania in midweek and Ancelotti is eager for his side to start picking up results consistently.
“We’ll play with three attackers,†the tactician noted on Friday afternoon. “It is possible that I’ll field the same sort of system used against Catania.â€
It’s expected that Ancelotti will field Kaka behind a re-born Alberto Gilardino and Pippo Inzaghi at the Stadio Friuli.
Milan have had a poor start to the campaign, but still find themselves just six points shy of the last remaining Champions League place.
“This is the last game of the year, a year which has been very difficult in the second part of it,†continued the former midfielder.
“We want to end 2006 in the best possible manner, also because we want to prove that we are still a strong side despite the injury problems we are dealing with.â€
However, Ancelotti’s plans have been further complicated after Marco Borriello was suspended as a precautionary measure after he failed a drugs test.
“We are evaluating the situation in order to try and understand the situation,†noted Carletto after the striker tested positive following the defeat to Roma on November 11.
“As a club we are sure that the substance found in the sample is not used by us at all. This isn’t down to the club.
“We are a serious organisation, especially when it comes to things like this, and we monitor what happens to our players carefully.â€
So what happened? “He’s been having some dental work recently, but I don’t think that has got anything to do with it.
“We feel sorry for the player who has now been suspended and we will look for an explanation. This isn’t an easy time for Borriello, but we are here for him.†Football Italia
