The Rossoneri might turn their attention towards the Copa America in order to find their new striker after losing David Suazo to Inter and having their offers for Eto`o' rejected by Barcelona.

Milan are being linked to a new striker, Brazilian player Fred, who currently plays for Olympique Lyons.

This was revealed during a program, 'Azzurro Italia', on Italian TV station Antenna 3, where it was claimed that the Rossoneri will be following closely the Copa America to see how the player fares before making an official bid.

In the meantime, the Rossoneri will also be looking around during this competition to see whether any other player will catch their attention as Milan continue their search for a new striker for the frontline, in order to continue strengthening the side ahead for next season.

Fred has been very consistent in his last two years with Lyon after joining the French champions from Cruzeiro. In the past season, the Brazilian striker managed to score 11 goals from 20 Ligue 1 games

He is good IMO, but he's not the player we need.

We need a world-class, not someone who might fail, or be just an above avg goalscorer.
