QUOTE Cruz ponders Milan option Tuesday 27 March, 2007 - channel4.com Julio Ricardo Cruz is reportedly ready to swap life on the bench at Inter for a career with city rivals Milan. The striker is contracted to the San Siro outfit until 2008 but has yet to extend his deal, which has fuelled speculation that he may be considering a sensational transfer to the Rossoneri. Despite often proving decisive when fielded by Inter boss Roberto Mancini, the 32-year-old Argentine has only played 10 Serie A matches this year, scoring five goals. El Jardinero is eager for more first team football as a result, even though he will probably end this term with a Scudetto. The former Feyenoord hitman would like to stay in Italy and Milan is an option, as the Rossoneri will need new blood upfront given the uncertain futures of Filippo Inzaghi and Ricardo Oliveira. Cruz, who joined Inter in 2003 from Bologna following the loss of Hernan Crespo to Chelsea, could therefore become the latest Interista to directly move across the city after the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and Giuseppe Favalli. One of the most underrated players in Europe. What do you think? |

Inter under-appreciate too many players.. Just look at Pirlo and Seedorf.
They see the light and move to the red side of Milan... and win the CL as opposed to being stuck in the mediocrity that is Inter. Sign him up! |

Let's be a little bit serious, the guy is 32!!! these are the kind of players we do NOT need. Most strikers reach their peak at 26-28 then they start to dip thereafter. Look at R9, Henry, etc etc. The Management should simply set some policy: NO SIGNING STRIKERS OVER 26. Keeping it YOUNG is the best policy. e.g Grimi was a good signing, Gorcuff, Kaka (of course!!).....Pato? (we should sign him like yesterday and not make mistakes like we did with R.Sobis) |
