Livorno president Aldo Spinelli has admitted he will allow star striker Cristiano Lucarelli to leave the club.

However, any interested parties will have to meet Lucarelli's release clause - which stands at €9million (£6.4million).

Lucarelli has clashed with Spinelli over the sacking of coach Daniele Arrigoni and he has stated that he wants to leave.

"My history with Livorno is over. It is clear that Spinelli is trying to force me out of the club, I do not want there to be any doubts," explained Lucarelli.

"The president told me that with my behaviour I am influencing the atmosphere and the team.

"I thought I could only influence the club with my goals, having scored 85 times in this shirt. I wanted to stay here for life, evidently I was wrong,"

Spinelli had reacted by stating the 31-year-old can leave.

"I cannot block him and if he wants to leave this club then he can go," said Spinelli.

"He has a clause and if there is a club willing to pay that price then I will honour our deal and let him leave.

"In January Palermo were interested in Lucarelli, but they didn't want to pay enough. Obviously I would be sorry to see him go as I would like him to stay until 2010.

"I don't know if Cristiano really wants to leave Livorno, even if I understand that at the age of 31 he could have the wish to try a big move."

1 good season is not prooving ones self. thing is gila was always played a lone striker at, the whole attack revolved around getting gila the ball in the box. i mean i couldnt care less about how old oli was when he was top scorer (it was the same situation with him at betis and santos, he was always deployed as a lone striker) and for all we know oli might turn out to be a very good player 4-5 years down the road but we dont have time for this, we arent going to wait this period of time to get a decent striker. i'm not expecting lucarelli to come in and lead our attack just some some solid play from a prooven serie a scorer. look at his record in the past 4 years: 76 games, 53 goals. the way oliveira has been playing for us is like this attitude that he has nothing to proove. all i know is 9 million isnt a lot for a solid serie a forward, all i know i'd rather have him playing than some 15 million euro mercenary bum that had 1 good season and in another league.

So how come everyone wants players like Pato who are young and promising if no one wants to give them time to develop. Oli is having a hard time but he has a great scoring record from anywhere he has been up until now.

If we get someone like Pato or Huntelaar we would have to pay money like we payed for Oli and we will have to give him time to settle in.

And sure Gila had the team revolving around him at Parma but so does Lucarelli at Livorno, Gila was a proven goal scorer in Serie A also with 24 goals per season in his Parma days and when he came to Milan he didn't deliver like everyone expected him to, Imo both the situations are the same but Gila is 24 and Lucarelli is 31, so he doesn't have the time to settle in.

I don't see why we should get him that's all, it would seem like a useless buy, as I said our attack is set for next seasonb, R9 will get back to 100% Oli will be more settled Gila will hopefully show us why we payed so much money for him and if Pippo stays he might spring a surprise on us like last season. All we need to do is try and get our next big star who will lead our attack in the future and we don't have to rush this since the attack has enough depth in it.

sorry but our attack is not set for next season, even with R99. it's still lacking that one creative forward (with pace) that can make the difference. pippo, gila and oli hvae not had bellow average season or bad season, they've had terrible season with no signs of getting any better. i say same forwards same problem. sure ronaldo is going to help out a lot but he isnt getting any younger, we're still missing something. so what ur saying is we should keep pippo because magically he might start playing well? look at his play right now, thats what we should be looking at, he hasnt had a good spell all season. Gila is a ghost the vast majority of the time, and when he has the odd game where he gets lots of chances this so called box stiker misses 80% of his chances. Oli looks just a slost as was in the first month of the year so i dont get ho he's suddenly going to be settled in next season. obviously i dont want us to get ride of all these guys but it would be foolish to not make any changes. It's simple you think any CL or UEFA cup caliber club in europe would keep 3 strikers that have sucked for whole seaons length? they would have no choice but to make a change or two. all i know is not going to endure another season with forwards that are not able to score, the fact that anyone thinks our attack is set for next season just makes me want to laugh.
