Buffon considers summer exit

Monday 30 October, 2006 ::: channel4.com

Gianluigi Buffon could leave Juventus in June, confirmed the Golden Ball nominee on Monday.

The Bianconeri goalkeeper was one of the top players who chose to stay in Turin despite the relegation to Serie B, turning down an offer from Inter during the summer.

Once again he is proving to be decisive, having conceded only two goals in eight matches thus far.

Buffon was also linked with a £25m January move to Chelsea after the serious injury suffered by Petr Cech a few weeks ago.

However, he stated that he would stay with the Old Lady until the end of the season, when he hopes to celebrate the return to Serie A.

The former Parma man, who landed in Turin in 2001 for a massive £33m, has reiterated that point – but has left the door open for a summer exit.

“There is the possibility that I will remain at Juventus, but there's also the possibility that I will leave,” said Buffon.

“I will decide in June what to do. I always make a last-minute decision and right now I am in no hurry,” added the world champion, who is contracted until 2010.

Juventus received a morale booster on Friday when the CONI reduced the Calciopoli punishments and handed eight points back to the Bianconeri.

How's the Dida renew situation? Not confirmed? Hmm, more rumours about Gigi Buffon.

Chelsea, Inter, Milan or... stay in Juventus?

Chelsea and their millions .. They have seriouslly unstabled life for many .. At first (as I have a blind hatred for man united) I liked the way they took their trasfer strategy to strangle most of the EPL clubs .. But they have been a poison in the BIG stage too, ie CL .. Moreover, a team that came out of nowhere with a squad that can keep the CL champions quite ... ugh !!!
