Ancelotti: Europe then Italy…

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is hoping that a win over Anderlecht on Wednesday will allow them to focus on their Serie A recovery.

The Rossoneri will face the Belgian side at the San Siro and a win should be enough for Ancelotti’s team to book a place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

“We are doing well in the group and although Anderlecht are a good side we want to win and then concentrate more on the domestic championship,” said the Coach.

"It will not be an easy game, but I believe we can win and make our qualification to the next phase near to certain.

“After that we will finally be able to focus on Serie A, trying to fill in the gap that separates us from the leaders of the table as soon as possible,” continued Ancelotti.

“We have to start well, we are where we want to be in the Champions League but it is the opposite in Italy where we are 14 points behind Inter.

“We lost against Palermo and Inter and although we were not dominated we had some difficulties in the first half,” explained the Rossoneri tactician.

Milan, despite being down to 10-men, collected a 1-0 win in Brussels two weeks ago and the Coach expects a similar result.

“I am not planning any changes to our usual tactics and I think Anderlecht will also maintain the same characteristics they had in their home match,” he added.

“They are very quick and well organised, especially in defence, we will need to be very determined.

“Yoann Gourcuff will probably be in the starting line-up seeing as has completely recovered from his injury, whereas Giuseppe Favalli, Serginho and Massimo Ambrosini are out.

“Alberto Gilardino's goal in the derby has helped relax him and this may be useful tomorrow evening,” concluded Ancelotti.

The match will kick-off at 20.45 local time and has been assigned to Herbert Fandel of Germany.

So that's 2 players almost being confirmed for tomorrow, and I like both options (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Now my only hope is that Gila will not play next to Pippo
