All in all I think it was the right decision. But sadly IMO Milan's situation is much more complex and dire. It's not just the coach.

And I wouldn't even categorize Spalletti under the master tactician cap either, but he seems to have clicked completely with that Inter side and they've been absolutely lethal this season Re Montella; well with hindsight we can always say that it was a mistake. But in the summer we were all for keeping him. Why? Because he had done well the previous season, we wanted the continuity that we haven't had for a while now and he was getting his team early, which meant time to get the wheel turning smoothly Sadly he wasted pre-season, and he's just allowed the situation to spiral out of his control. The players are clearly unhappy and that has showed on the pitch for a while now. |
