Adriano Galliani has again lashed out at Real Madrid’s attempts to poach Kaka and hopes the rumours can end with a Champions League appearance.
The Brazilian starlet was named as a new arrival even before President Ramon Calderon was elected to the Merengues Board, but extending his contract until 2010 and lodging an official complaint to FIFA have not stopped the rumours of an imminent £40m switch. Spanish newspaper ‘As’ claims that transfer guru Predrag Mijatovic has been advising Kaka’s father, who also acts as his agent, on how to force Milan into a sale. “On Wednesday Kaka will play for Milan in the Champions League and this story will be over,†said Rossoneri chief Galliani. The Brazilian will feature in the Preliminary Round tie against Red Star Belgrade, which would Cup-tie him for the campaign. “It is not normal that Calderon, Mijatovic and Franco Baldini talk continually of Kaka, because he is staying at San Siro. I have great respect for the history of that club, but not for their directors in this administration. They really aren’t worthy of such a world class side.†Football Italia |
