Milan President Silvio Berlusconi insists he is delighted Massimo Moratti knows how to count given he keeps adding up how many penalties the Rossoneri have won.

Yesterday Berlusconi said Milan would be just one point behind Inter if the crucial goal Adriano scored with his hand in the last derby had been ruled out.

Moratti responded by saying Milan are only still in the title race because of the 'record' number of penalties they have been awarded.

“It's a useful exercise in arithmetic that does everybody good,” Berlusconi quipped. “Inter prevailed in the last derby because of a very dubious goal without which we would be just a point behind them.”

As it is, Milan are seven points behind Inter with just five games left of the 2008-09 season. They travel to Catania on Sunday.

Apparently, Silvio's wife is filing for divorce after he attended a female friend's 18th (!) birthday party, among other reasons. (Why the hell does he have an 18-year-old female friend in the first place?)

Heck, this also probably means that the management now have another excuse not to spend in the summer transfer window.
