Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has today spoken to shareholders, revealing the Via Turati club to be £24m in the red.

The 63-year old who, since Silvio Berlusconi stepped down earlier this week, has taken the role of President in all but name, moved to reassure the Rossoneri's worried investors.

“To get the books back in order it would be enough to sell Kaka to Real Madrid for £55m,” remarked Galliani to the consternation of Milan's money men.

Shareholders are believed to be angry at the club's recent form on the pitch and in the transfer market.

According to a report in Italian newspaper La Stampa, some investors are unwilling to contribute money to this summer's transfer budget.

Galliani refused to accept all the blame, insisting that they were just as responsible for the Diavolo's current troubles.

“Last year they begged me to renew Dida's contract and adhere to the requests of Emerson, Cafu, Serginho and Favalli.”

Milan have been labelled an old side of late and criticised for not investing enough in young talent, Alexandre Pato aside.

But Galliani defended the Rossoneri's policy, saying: “Footballers are like cars, their condition changes year on year.”

The Diavolo have recently been heavily linked with troubled Barcelona forward Ronaldinho. The 28-year-old has been in limbo this year, but Galliani believes he can get back to his best.

“At the moment he reminds me of when he was at Paris Saint-Germain in 2003. I don't think he'd have a problem playing in the UEFA Cup either. Luca Toni has for Bayern Munich.”

"Manchester United have been named as the world's "most valuable" football club for the fourth consecutive year by Forbes magazine, who calculate the club's worth at US$1.8 billion, more than Spain's Real Madrid, who are second wealthiest according to the US business magazine."

Thats an interesting article, Arsenal apparently make $6m per game!!!!! No wonder the tickets for the CL game against Milan were so expensive! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Sooner or later I can see the prem crash as it's greed knows no boundaries and people will just not be able to afford it. Serie A might be behind the prem but at least it's accessible to the working man with a family (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's because all of Arsenal's games are sold out. To the death. They have the highest attendance record in the EPL, and that's saying something. I even read they had well over 98% season tickets sold this year. While for us, it's something around 30-40%. No wonder they make so much.

Like they say, London is London. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'd take no notice, these things are very subjective. How exactly do they define how much a team is worth.
*

Well they factor in the squad for one, the club share prices if they have any, a worth of the stadium (which for us is owned by the city of Milan) and the infrastructure. Plus the running finances, cash at hand, how much the team makes from ticket sales and shirt sales etc, debt, and any future player assets (like Pato, and other young ones who could have their price tags inflated). Not to mention the sponsor deals a club has for now and the future. And even performance in the leagues and tournaments the club participates in for the last few years.

Rest assured it's pretty complicated. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
