We should, X-Off. inert had the first home game last year. Teams who share stadiums trade off.

Okay, here are some details about how the draw's going to be organized:

* The last 4 games of the season will alternate between home and away for each team.
* Teams won't have more than 2 consecutive home or away games during the season.
* Of the following pairs of teams, one will play home and one will play away during the season:
Milan-inert
Roma-Lazio
Genoa-Samp
Bari-Lecce
Bologna-Cesena
* In cities where teams share stadiums (Rome, Genoa, Milan), teams who started last season away will start at home.
* There won't be anything preventing big games or derbies either the first or last matchday.
* There won't be any derbies or 'big games' (games between Milan, Juve, inert, Roma, and Napoli) on Wednesdays
* There won't be any repeat matchdays from last season (ie, won't play the same fixture on the same matchday)
* Teams won't face the same teams - either home or away - that they faced during the first or last matchdays for the last two seasons
* Teams in the CL and Europa League won't meet each other the matchday following CL or Europa League games

hmm at least we start with a couple of easy (on paper) games... Hopefully that will give us enough time to get into some sort of form before the tough games start to come thick and fast

Inter, Roma, Milan & Juventus Coaches React To Serie A Calendar

QUOTE
The Serie A 2010/11 season fixture list was drawn up o Wednesday night, throwing up some interesting fixtures for the big four.

And, despite them all having seemingly easy fixtures for the opening round (see below), Claudio Ranieri, Luigi Del Neri, Massimiliano Allegri and Rafael Benitez have all approached day one with an air of caution.

"Every championship represents a new story. We cannot think about a hard or easy start. Every game has to be played and you have to face all the opposition sooner or later," Ranieri told the press.

Del Neri set the tone for Juventus: "It's an interesting calendar as we see Roma and Inter clash on week five, both are title contenders.

"We start with Bari on August 29 and then end with Napoli in May. We have to put maximum effort for the whole season."

Milan's Allegri said: "We have to start well and manage the period when we play important fixtures.

"The start is a bit tricky as we play against newly promoted teams. But we have to show intensity and determination."

Rafael Benitez, new to Calcio, cannot wait to get stuck in: "We have to be prepared for every appoinntment that the list throws at us and start the season in the best possible way.

"I think the key games for us will be Roma at the Olimpico and Juventus at the [Giuseppe] Meazza."

1. you know who
2. AS Roma
3. AC Milan
4. Juventus

...is what I kinda expect... I hope for some miracle blow up by Benitez so that either AS Roma or AC Milan can benefit from it, but that is wishful thinkin in my honest opinion (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

If we do land 4th place, everyone will see why exactly we (reluctantly) cheered for Inter in the CL final.

I anti-cheered Inter in the CL Final. Hope we finish above 4th which is IMO optimistic. Juve could be a force to reckon with as well as Roma if they fix the CB problem. Adriano is losing weight FYI.

Don't know what these guys are doing in that call up list. Pepe and Zaccardo are big no nos Prandelli

Great to see all these guys where they should have been in the first place. YESS no Iaquinta!! Antonini!! Rossi!!! Bori!!

Hopefully Ranocchia, Aquilani and D'Agostino will take the red's place over time. And why Palladino/Gila over Di Natale? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

He has never played for Argentina so if Prandelli calls him he can play for Italy.
Like Amauri could play for Italy or Brazil.
In the same situation is Thiago Motta too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Boo on the oriundi. No more of those please!

Yay that Antonini was included - hopefully he'll do better than he showed today.

That's Germany (and not as many as one would suspect, a lot of their guys with not-German surnames were actually born in Germany).

So, Philippe Coutinho debuted for Inter against Citah and apparently he's done well. he was signed two years ago and I clearly remember, Inter were hyping him up from day 1 even though he wasn't going to make his debut before 2010.

He's exactly the same age as Pato when he arrived at Milan and played his debut season. looking forward to see how he does this season. after all he was labeled as their answer to our Pato.

Major owie for the Viola. Jovetic tore up ligaments in his knee (anterior cruciate ligament AND collateral exterior ligament) and will have surgery. He's expected back in 6-7 months.

Genoa sold Sokratis for 5 mil euros and bought Rafinha for 8... maybe we should have bought Rafinha?

No Rafinha is talented, but he is non-eu. He's not worth wasting a spot on. Also sokratis can play in midfield and all areas of defence.

So, Udinese-Genoa is underway.

Genoa's practically unrecognizable there are so many new players. One of the new guys, Veloso, got a yellow early in the first half, and Luca Toni went out with an injury partway through the half.

It's 0-0 in the 52nd.

I can't belive people consider Roma to be a real contender. Ranking does not matter in their chase. Milan can be 3rd for the next 5 years and Juve 7th, and still, both would present more dangerous contenders to Inter. What have they ever achieved? They lost almost every Supercup and Cup final to Inter, always turned out to be looser in Serie A, never made anything special in Champions League or UEFA cup. Not with Spalletti, especially not with Ranieri. Just another usual Roma season underway.

True, that. It was a scorcher! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's always a great feeling when the underdog score first, just to see how the bigger team responds back. We've got a match on. But I think Juve will get back even soon.

PS. Our cable company has started showing Serie A live this season. Yay! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) No more internet streams for me from now on.

Not the best thread to post but here some links (some you surely know already) to follow the Serie A matches online:

http://www.atdhe.net/
http://grandetv.info/
http://www.firstrow.net/
http://tvportugalhd.com/
http://myp2p.eu/

(+ some sportsbetting websites like bwin, bet365, betfair, etc if you've cash there)

Live scoring only: http://futbol24.com/ (best by far)

Bet365 is pretty much free (as in no cash needed, just sign up), and the quality is consistently great. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) A bit laggy at times, even on a 2 MB connection, but just a wee bit.

And what a chance for Chiellini in the final minute. FT, it stays this way. Great start for Bari, nonetheless.

True. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Maybe they'll still make a big move in the dying days of the transfer window, who knows?! Frankly if this keeps up another year in the Europa league beckons for them. Roma, Samp, Palermo, even Fiorentina won't give them any breathing space whatsoever.

So it's 0-0 at the break in the Inter match. Got to say for all their off field problems Bologna look good, they're really giving Inter a run for their money.

Inter will most likely win, but it's good to see them work for it.

Man I hate these international breaks!!! I'm really curiuos about how we'll cope with Cesena, Lecce was a walk over and I'm still not sure if we made them look that bad or they were just that bad on their own, or if it was a combination of both.

Well they were missing Maicon today, which is a big loss. What's the chance that he'll be going to Real? Is there still a possibility of that happening? They said he wasn't called up today because talks were still ongoing.

Him leaving would really tip the scales in our favour, not to mention the trojan horse sent by the dear Scousers in the form of Rafa (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I mean what was he thinking taking off Milito? If anyone is going to score you a last minute goal it's him. And Coutinho for Pandev? That kid looked so out of his depth it was ridiculous! And if he's their answer to Pato then I'm the Prince of Persia (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Bahh, it's like Mancini never existed. I don't rate him very high, but still...he did it even before the Arrogant one.
