Erm guys...the new team page. It's only got Oduamadi and Strasser from the youth sector. I thought Albertazzi would be in as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Not really sure where to put this....but anyway its a long vid of the team training yesterday. I'm sure one will pop up for today too, just gotta find it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI9iu5amVrs...eos=nSwubGsd4uA

I love how they use mats to stretch, as if they were allergic to the grass or something.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I think it's cool, wouldn't want that on me but he's a pro footballer, they can get away with freakish hair styles.

Anything is better then his old Fabio hair. Pirlo imo is the only player who should be allowed to have long hair (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yeah. Either that or he's already injured. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Max Allegri looks like he's got some moves. So far they've been focusing on the physical stuff..getting players back into shape and all that. I'm more curious to see what all the tactical training will involve.

So glad to see that. I hope it'll work.

Now Borriello's taking a rest or is injured. I can't tell (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It's only 12th minute and Jankulovski already made 3 mistakes.

Pato's running a lot, glad to see he's fit.

Still doesn't excuse some of the ametourish play. Our 4 defenders with some of them being direct backups might I add are all terrible and are making mistakes that a school kid wouldn't do. Oddo can't run, can't pass, can't defend, can't cross... The only thing he seems capable of doing is pushing his hair back behind his ears.

If one of our regular fullbacks gets injured we're in so much sh!t!!!!

Well I wouldn't want to see Nesta here, in fact I don't want to see him in friendlies. Why risk getting him injured before the start of the season.

I guess since Allegri knows he's stuck with kaladze might as well not continue to hurt his ego and let him play in a friendly

Honestly it doesn't matter where they are. No excuses for that. AC Milan's second and third string should be able to handle a team of that caliber, let alone the first stringers that did play.

The next friendlies are the Emirates cup, which are not in Italy. You know, I think Varese might be the only friendly in Italy.....Oh wait! There is the TIM Cup, but I don't know when that is.

So Varese was in training for 2 weeks already. We had trained for 4 days. Just an FYI. Still think we should have won though. It's that concentration thing again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

One knows the tiger by it's footprints. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif)

But c'mon...in 4 days of training, I don't really expect us to be sharp. But it's something we've specialised in for sometime now. Lack of concentration. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

P.S: One of those 4 days was spent playing volleyball! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I think poor friendly results can affect the players and their self confidence, and maybe their trust in a coach like Allegri.

You could point out to Leo with who(m?) we went through a legendary losing streak in friendlies but finished the season alright. but that was different. he was part of the club and everyone knew him very well. I'm already worried about Allegri!

LOL! Shocking friendly but we at least go to see Oudamadi and Verdi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) They are awesome!!

In regards to the score, we should have had a few goals. They're goalie was godlike.

In regards to the defence, all I say is what do you expect?

1)Nesta
2)Thiago Silva
3)Sokratis
4)Bonera
5)Zambrotta
6)Yepes
7)Jankulovski
8)Oddo
9)Kaladze

Look who started.... the result is normal if you think about it.

I'm not exactly sure why we don't sell Bonera off. He's good enough to attract other squads yet injured enough to be fairly worthless to us. We could sell him off and get a real right back.

Well, Bonera has never been injury-prone except the last year and a half or so. Let's hope he's back for good now, I quite like him.

Same. I remember his first season at Milan when Nesta had a long injury spell, he played in the center along with Paolo and I remember thinking how great he was. But then injuries really did him in. Hopefully this season he'll stay clear of any long term injuries

Thats my point though, if Yepes' performance this weekend was an indicator of how he will perform this year, then we are set with backups. I certainly don't see Bonera getting much time at CB with Yepes and Sokratis in place, and he will get time at RB but its not his natural position. We could sell him and make enough cash to buy a player whose proper position is RB, such as Caceres.

I just saw the highlights. Like Blue said Oduamadi and Verdi look like they have a good thing going. Weaker foot is a problem for both though.

Other than that an interesting comment made by a fan on a rossoneri blog..thought of copying it:

QUOTE
Have you heard what Allegri said about how Milan need to play in the absence of Pirlo? This is what really impressed me, more than anything else he’s said or done so far.

“Tutto sommato con Pirlo sarà possibile giocare il 4-3-1 2, ma senza di lui è preferibile cambiare sistema”

To those who can’t read Italian, he said that without Pirlo, it’s extremely difficult for Milan to play 4-3-1-2. What he then moved on to suggest, an alternative Pirlo-less system, in the form of 4-2-3-1. Where we would see something like this:

Abbiati/Amelia; Sokratis, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Ambrosini, Flamini; Pato, Seedorf, Ronaldinho; Borriello.

The names in that formation are from me, not him, but I imagine it could only be this, or perhaps something only slightly different. This tactical versatility is something that an imperfect team like ours desperately needs, and if he can deduce this from one simple game against a Serie C side like Varese, then the man certainly seems to have a good head on his shoulders. The what-do-we-do-without-Pirlo dilemma is one that we’ve had since the Ancelotti days, and neither Carlo or Leo manage to solve it – best they did was put Seedorf in Pirlo’s place -. I’m not saying Allegri did, but he’s displaying a willingness to adapt (something Ancelotti never had), and the ability to do so (something the fresh Leonardo hadn’t quite learned how to do yet).

I’ll wait and see how this Pirlo-less formation actually works out, but it definitely sounds promising.
