He was shipped off to Roma just at the start of the season, presumably because we signed Zeljko Kalac and Ancelotti had no use for him anymore. I'm not sure how much he went for, though.

It was all very shady, I don't think anyone know what really happend. It was rumoured that Carlo was unhappy with what he saw of him during the USA tour.
