QUOTE
The United Arab Emirates will host the Club World Cup in 2009 and 2010, world governing body FIFA announced on Tuesday.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter said the Club World Cup would return to Japan, which has hosted the revamped tournament since 2005, for 2011 and 2012.

Blatter said the UAE's attractive bid and its suitability for the December time slot made it a good choice for competing teams.

He said FIFA would like the 2009 and 2010 tournaments to be played in other UAE cities, not just Abu Dhabi.

You know... there's only a few things I enjoy more than totally filling my car's fuel tank... and with the prices over here I don't get to do that often. So I might consider making the trip... but then again... can I do the things I enjoy more than that with the girls over there? I still want to visit Japan someday!!

well more money couldn't hurt could it? With the condition the ME is in right now i'm happy that UAE is getting a little spot light. Maybe it can help some people here in the west chill out a bit and realise that not all ME are extremist terrorists. If i had $5000 i would go but i'm savin for milan trip this december.

In Dubai?? Oooooh yeah... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) It's the Las Vegas of Arabia. What happens in Dubai (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) stays in Dubai.

But yeah judging from how their cars look like they probably don't hire designers!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Thought you were into exterior design, and not engines. If you're into engines, why are you even looking past BMW?

Oh and if I were you, I'd want into one of the biggies. Pinnafarina or Italdesign. Or come work in India for DC design. We did the Aston Martin V8. I think it was the Vantage.

Sacrilege. Chris Bangle rocks!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Though no one else thinks so.

The new BMWs convey a sense of poetry in motion...esp the M6 in a gorgeous shade of burgundy. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Good looking??? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Ya akhi!!!

VS

(IMG:http://www.automedia.com/NewCarBuyersGuide/photos/2006/BMW/M5/Sedan/2006_BMW_M5Sedan_ext_1.jpg)

IS A NO CONTEST!!

The Best m5 ever....and therefore the best 4 door saloon ever. In fact to quote Jeremy Clark...it might be better than that...it might even be better than the Ferrari F430.

I mean imagine you're in this 300k + F430, and you're left in the dust by a 4 door saloon driven by a guy in a suit with suitcases in the trunk. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I loooove Munich.

P.S: Oh Audi is nice too (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ....I think car companies make the best shirt sponsors. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Call me old skool, but that M5 brings back a lot of memories .. Sure the new one is sleeker and 100hp more powerful, but I'm a sucker for the aggressive look. And that M5 is damn aggressive (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Pininfarina and Alfa's Centro Stilo is where I want to work! But you know... they don't keep the same people forever as they want to refresh in ideas... so you can't be a one-center designer...

You think ? I dunno, it's just that between the Japanese brands, Toyota and Nissan have progressed with Lexus and Infiniti, but still have some way to go ..

Scratch that ... Would you phleez consider designing for Land Rover, cuz I got a feeling TATA will f2ck it up (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I don't think there was one. I did not find one either... so I will open one just now at the Off-Topic sub-forum.

Mitsubishi announced this... I guess they're not lying... unless they want the Evo not to be seen as the direct rival of the Impreza any more... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Tata? I care more about India to be honest? I mean... their target is every Indian to have a Nano... well even if they make it to one in two Indians that will ruin the country!

Hmm .. I always thought that the Nano would be a threat, first and foremost to the other car manufacturers who build small cars like Daihatsu, Lada, Corolla, etc the small cars that any random working man could afford.

I mean, it is a domestic product, which would mean less taxing on it, it's factories would allow more jobs to be allocated, and it is a perfect bench mark for India in the automotive industry ... But how would that ruin the country ?

Fir starters...no airbags..and no adjustable seats. Air pollution..and not enough road infrastructure are the common complaints. But it's much better than a family of 4-5 people squeezing on a scooter.

Fir starters...no airbags..and no adjustable seats. Air pollution..and not enough road infrastructure are the common complaints. But it's much better than a family of 4-5 people squeezing on a scooter.

Well it is relatively cheap, hence I wasn't expecting airbags, air conditioning, etc .. But yeah, deff better than a scooter. BTW, has production started ?

Who'd have thought you'd have a longer waiting period for the Nano than that Porsche turbo! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

But how would that ruin the country ?

I was talking about air pollution... imagine if every Indian owned one of these... nothing more than rats will be living in India in 30 years!
