Has been a while. In the last game in the league at San siro we won 3:1 (it was a great game. Juve were going strong then). Can't wait for this one. I predict a lot of goals.

Not to go against the general sentiment or anything but this IS a home match, and Gila's already scored. And we'll be tired after Benfica esp. Kaka.

All I know is Seedorf will score. He always manages to score against Juve, even with his head, which is something you rarely see from Seedorf.
As for the game, Juve looked great against Palermo, but you get the feeling that it was mostly Palermo that made them look that good. Hopefully we won't be that worn out after the Benfica game since that is another must win game, since we have to close this group up and not have to worry about the next match that much. |

This clash has often been below my expectations [of course there are some exceptions like that 3-1 thrashing] but I predict a boring game, maybe finally a home win. but Juve's motivation worries me. this motivation was the reason why they managed to take points from Inter while they were clearly inferior to them.

Carlo Ancelotti is another Juve old boy, having been given a reputation as a ‘lovable loser’ while in Turin only to win every trophy at Milan. Emerson and Marek Jankulovski are injured, while Clarence Seedorf’s return could restore the Christmas Tree formation. Juventus are flying high after their 5-0 demolition job on Palermo and have done very well against the other Scudetto contenders so far, earning draws with Inter, Roma and Fiorentina. Jorge Andrade, Zdenek Grygera and Jean-Alain Boumsong remain sidelined, but Giorgio Chiellini returns from a ban to bolster the defence. Alessandro Del Piero netted twice on Sunday evening and set up a third after coming off the bench for the final 20 minutes, so has probably done enough to win back his starting spot from Azzurri rival Vincenzo Iaquinta. Del Piero had been linked with a move to Milan when his contract talks with Juve were stalling, as he has an excellent rapport with his former Bianconeri boss Ancelotti. Trezeguet’s place is secure, the current Capocannoniere on 11 goals in 13 games. Ronaldo doesn’t think that he will recover from a calf injury in time to feature for Milan against Juventus on Saturday. I suspect Pippo will start this one if Ronnie is mysteriously injured again. This is a BIG game and it's precisely the sort of game that guys like Pippo and Seedorf will give all out for. Pippo did train yesterday (I just checked).
As for the transfer policy..yeah, we didn't do too well this summer. However, bringing in Zambrotta will in my mind be good. He can play either left or right and can play in midfield and will provide a lot of quality and depth. |

Quick note (at work and don't have time to run out a full translation). In Ancelotti's daily press conference on acmilan.com's italian page, he said that Pippo is available and able to play though he may start on the bench, that Maldini will play and that Janku is almost fully recovered and may be able to play in the CWC. They'll likely do a full translation later in the day.

i just dont feel their midfield is up tot he task. they did well against inter but if we play with 5 mid fielders i expect us to control the game and win. 2-0 or 2-1. goals from pippo and kaka.

As far as squads go ours on paper is better, the attack however is much more weaker then theirs.
But as far as midfield goes it's ours all the way. Juve have basically the same form we've had in the last 4 matches: Juve -> L,W,D,D,W Mulan -> L,L,W,D,W Hopefully we'll go out there with the right mindset and win this. |
