Zambrotta could head home Barcelona's Gianluca Zambrotta may return to Italy at the end of the season, according to the latest reports in Spain.
The full-back was one of the first Juventus players to leave the outfit when the Calciopoli scandal saw them demoted, but his stint at the Nou Camp could be on the verge of ending.
The AS newspaper claims that Zambrotta has not completely adapted to his new life, failing to live up the expectations of the club and Coach Frank Rijkaard.
The World Cup winner is thus already being associated with a Barca exit as Milan and Juventus are monitoring his situation.
The Rossoneri would seemingly be in pole position to net him should he become available for transfer.
Vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that they were interested last summer, but they couldn’t start a negotiation until they had successfully come through the Champions League preliminary tie against Red Star.
No firm offer has been made for the former Como and Bari player, but the Italian giants are expected to strengthen numerous areas of the side this summer.

He can play right and left...easily. He's exactly what we need. Cafu is leaving, meaning Oddo only at the right. If Luca plays left, Marek pushes up to mid. And if god forbid Oddo gets hurt, Luca can play right, and Janku can switch back to LB.
In any case I don't Sergio will be long for Milan. Maybe a year or so.

There is one thing you guys don't know about Marek... He is no midfielder and he has never been good playing there for us... He is, I believe, great at the LB position though.
Oddo Nesta Bonera Janku---- will be a verysolid back four for us next season. And with Gourcuff emerging, I don't see Janku getting much space. And next year, we will go back to playing with two attackers again, so, as I said: no space for Zambrotta.

QUOTE We'll have to see. I'm very happy with the forum, but my agent suggests that I should evaluate other offers from other forums also, before I decide upon next season. m1ke is busy with v2 and so I haven't negotiated a new contract. I feel seeing my contributions to the forum, I need a new profanity level alloted to me. At present I'm very happy with milanfan and hope to put in my best performances towards the end of the season. But who knows about next season, there are a lot of considerations to be taken into mind. QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Apr 10 2007, 06:58 PM) We don't have room for him and he is not a sub... Next season we'll only have 1 RB... Zambrotta is good at RB as he is at LB so I can't see why there's no space for him in Milan.

Right...and if Oddo/Marek gets injured....we'll bring Tassotti back from retirement to sub in I suppose. Or maybe Carlo will send a plane ticket over to dst's home.
I'm sorry about the sarcasm but I don't see the point in ur argument.
There's no way any of the 'first teamers' u've mentioned could compare with Luca. If Luca comes in, and since we love Oddo too much, I'm afraid, Marek must either push up, or sit on the bench.

Correction, we need one great centre forward, one great centre back, one better than average centre back and one great full back.
And I wouldn't call our current fullbacks great by any means.
Oddo is good. Janku is decent. You saw the match against Inter. And his crossing and runs haven't really been all that great. Thanks, but I'd rather have Luca.

Janku and Oddo are not great ones. None of them are good at defence, especially Marek. Than, also Oddo isn't producing what he actually did at Lazio, crosses and assists. So, we desperately need new fullbacks.
As far as CB's are concerned, we've got Nesta and Bonera, with Kaladze as a sub. So CB won't be the primary objective.
However, primary objective will be a new GK, fullback, and a striker.

But who knows about next season, there are a lot of considerations to be taken into mind. I predict that he will go off to London to learn English. These stupid comments from guys like him should never be believed (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Apr 10 2007, 05:39 PM) Ok, I'm gonna type this in CAPS so maybe you get it this time: WE HAVE ODDO FOR RB AND JANKU FOR LB AND THAT MEANS NO ROOM FOR ZAMBROTTA. Most likely it will be a Milan youth player that will replace Cafu... Zambrotta would put Marek on the bench faster then it takes to snap your fingers. Having a back 4 of Zambro--Nesta--Bonera--Oddo would probably be one of the strongest around. Oddo probably hasn't showed us his best form yet, but I understand since he came in January and will take time to settle in completely even though his switch has been relatively smooth.

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Apr 10 2007, 10:45 PM) See... We need two new Center Backs and two new Center Forwards and we are gonna go and spend money on a Full Back when we have two great ones already? Wouldn't be the smartest move... I agree with this but it's another issue from "there is no space for him in Milan"... Thanks, but I'd rather have Luca. Dude... No... Don't make this confusing. Oli will most likely leave us at the end of the season and so will Boriello. We will need two new CF's. We also need two CB's. And with Cafu leaving, we will most likely have a youth player replace him. Oddo and Janku not great? First of all I think Janku has done great and Oddo needs time, but if you are gonna judge a player like that, then Milan players are inferior to Lazio players I guess... Janku has won us games and is playing very consistently. There is absolutely no need to bench such a player and bring in another one even if it is Zambrotta. Oddo just needs time. We have Serie A's best RB and we are still complaining... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Just wait and see how much *** we will kick come next year.

But a Bonera Nesta partnership for next season is looking the most likely and I personally think it will be rock solid if both manage to stay fit. If we got Zambrotta, then without question, his place should be on the left. First of all he's better there and secondly I think Oddo is better then Janku, he just needs to be given some time to show us his Lazio form.

I kinda comfort myself thinking Oli was just a carrot Galliani dangled in front of Calderon to get him to sign Ronaldo off. We'd be such b@stards otherwise.

QUOTE (florenti1 @ Apr 12 2007, 03:00 PM) According to Tuttomercato if Zambrotta will come Janku will go (probably to Napoli) and Milan is close to sign Keita (he played well against us) from Lille He can play in miedfield and also as a 2nd striker No no no!! Even though I like Zambrotta I wouldn't like Janku to leave, I've come to like him a lot... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Keita was good against Milan but you can never tell what the evolution of a youngster will be... we'll see. Personally I don't think he will come. We are going to be linked with hundreds of players this summer...

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Apr 12 2007, 06:04 PM) Oddo Nesta Bonera Janku is a great back four and there is absolutely no need to change that unless we wanna act like Chelsea and buy evey star player and ruin the great chemistry that we have in our team. Of course, but when the opportunity of getting probably the best LB in the world presents itself to you then why not go for it, especially if he come on the cheap. I know Janku is great and I've come to love him over the course of the season but Zambrotta is of a totally different class

QUOTE (Portugal @ Apr 12 2007, 07:59 PM) There's no need to sell/loan Janku if Zambro signs. In Milan there's always room for top-class players. Exactly. Plus since Sergio will most probably leave after next season then it's obvious that we would need both

QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Apr 12 2007, 09:22 PM) Fullback = RB and LB positions. We do need a new RB, but Zambrotta is not the answer. We must either look at our youth players or look for a young talent elsewhere. Zambrotta is a great player and I would have wanted him if we didn't already have Oddo. But that's just it. He would be playing on the left. Or right depends on what we need during the current time. But Zambro would be the natural guy to take the LB area. And besides who could we really get from our youth ranks? The only 2 guys that I saw being as REMOTELY deserving of getting into the team are Antonelli and Di Gennaro

I have to say I agree with pKiller on this; if it's either Zambrotta or a young fullback then I want the young one!
But if Milan are not interested in any young ones and Zambro could come for little we should snatch him.
