Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Coach Carlo Ancelotti will not be leaving the club anytime soon.

The former midfielder has been constantly linked with a switch to Real Madrid, with recent rumours suggesting that he has already been contacted by President Ramon Calderon.

“We have started Lent, therefore I prefer not to answer questions on Ancelotti,” said Galliani. “Furthermore, this issue involves Real Madrid, so anything I say would be misunderstood.

“I already receive more phone calls from Spain than from Italy… He is our Coach and he will stay here for a long time.

“If the papers say something, there might be some truth, but Ancelotti has our complete trust and I believe he is very serene,” ended Galliani.

Meanwhile, midfielder Massimo Ambrosini has admitted that he would like to end his career with the club.

The Rossonero is contracted to the San Siro outfit until June 2008, but has yet to start negotiations to extend his deal.
“If it were up to me, this is where I would end my career,” said Ambrosini. “We will see what happens before the end of the year.

“I hope I will be given other opportunities to shine, there are still three months to play before the end of the season and we will try to do our best in both Serie A and the Champions League.

“I am finally feeling well after recovering from my injury. Sometimes you are too eager to return, but it is right to play only when you are 100 per cent fit,” concluded Ambrosini.

Better not be. At least now the forum and all nay-sayers will be quiet on Rijkaard for a while. So who's our next replacement?? Oh I know Lippi!! Wasn't he in charge of Juve when Milan won the CL??!!!

Nah...let's not get dragged into this. I think Lippi is a great coach, but I don't expect a revolution from him. He's been around too long for that. For a revolution, you need Marco. For looking like Chelski you need Mourinho. For looking like Ebenezer Scrooge, you need Trapattoni. For looking like Milan, you need Carletto!
