QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jan 30 2007, 06:01 PM) f@CK THIS DEAL!!! This whole f@cking thing is cursed... Galliani is putting himself before the club because Ronaldo was a dream of his and he has given away a great striker to Real Madrid. And now they wanna sign Caraccilo instead... That guy is so bad, they are practically trying to ged rid of his tall and talentless @ss at Palermo... This is such a huge mistake... And they think they have made us happy? What the f@ck are they trying to communicate by putting that fat golden banner on the website? F@ck you Galliani!! I mean it wholeheartedly! F@CK YOU!!! 1899% agreed!

I do not understand why everyone is so hyped up about Fatnaldo joining us.Firstly, Oliveira is on loan - he hasn't been sold. Secondly, we have Milan lab. They will make him sweat and force him to starve his fat rolls out. Don't you remeber guys how many players came to us with injuries? Milan lab treated all their injuries. Thirdly, look at his record APPEARANCES GOALSCRUZEIRO (1993-1994) 60 58PSV EINDHOVEN (1994-1996) 56 55BARCELONA (1996-1997) 44 39INTER (1997-2002) 100 59REAL MADRID (2002-January 2007) 164 99BRAZIL NATIONAL SIDE 97 62CLUB+BRAZIL 521 372 Average = 0.7 goals per apperanceLets see what his own fans have booed him for, shall we: For winning the European golden ball.... for going a game without scoring.... I've seen him tried his hardest to make things happen on the field and when his efforts weren't successful...they booed I heard folks say they would rather lose with Raul than win with Ronaldo..... I've heard some of them say he has not done shyte for RM.....conveniently forgetting that he was a decisive force in the last league title and intercontinetal title RM won and everybody outside of RM know that him and Casillas have been carry that team these last 3 seasons. They benched him because of injuries....twice this season......injuries that wierdly neither Ronaldo or the medical staff were aware of - Milan lab would be though When he showed his World Player and European Player title, they chanted Ra-ul! Ronaldo is not the replacement for Sheva - no Galliani he isn't! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) If Ronie is just a fat, emotional, selfish *******...why have his team-mates publicly stated their distaste for the way he has been treated... Even if he only plays a few games, he'll still contribute with a few goals, thats still better than nothing right?? I never heard of a team who would turn down a few extra goals.
Even if he's only there to keep Gila and the others sharp - making them fight for their places, thats still better than nothing right??
Even if he just comes to boost stadium attendance, thats still better than nothing right??
Even if he just comes and ACM sells lots of shirts and merchandise, thats still better than nothing right??
Oh, and if he actually puts in some hard work, with the intention on proving a point to Fabio Capello and everybody else at RM, then... hmm... ACM could have made a good deal on their hands.Lastly, if all goes pear-shaped, no worry as we just get milan lab have do their miracle! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) R9 = done R10 = still to come K22 + R9 + R10 = something special (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

What you said is true.
But first of all. All of us here aren't mad because of getting R9, it's because of Oli leaving when we have no one else for CL.
Secondly, what you said about Real madrid fans is true, they are ungrateful b!tches.
And there is no doubt R9 will score goals, but the CL is important for us this season and Galliani has left us hanging by the skin of our teeth by letting Oli go out on loan.

does anyone honestly think that we have a chance of winning the CL this year? i would want to try and fight for our spot in next years tournament than worry about winning this one.

QUOTE (Portugal @ Jan 30 2007, 11:05 PM) Even if Oliveira stays... we don't have a chance this year. We just had luck on the group stage (to draw with some mediocre teams). Just look at our squad (the whole squad not only the attack) and compare it to Inter, Barcelona (+refs), Chelsea, Real, Lyon, etc. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) We have a better squad than Real and Lyon, but yeah, the other 3 teams you mentioned are far superior than us this season.

I wouldn't say that we have a better squad than Lyon, especially considering how good they all play together. For me they're one of the top favorites for this years CL. Just look how easily they trashed Real in the Group stage...

QUOTE (gal_kenny @ Jan 30 2007, 10:39 PM) Guys Oliveira isn't on loan to Real Madrid...Go to d website and click on Ronaldo is a great champion.. When it opens click on "click here" and when it opens go to d last paragraph or sentence u'll see they said " that's why Ricardo Oliveira stayed in Milan" Well spotted (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) " Something might happen with Ricardo Oliveria but I don't think so. I am not denying there has been negotiations, a loan deal with Real having the chance to buy but I don't think that will take off. So, that's why Ricardo Oliveira stayed in Milan."

Quotes from people about the transfer:
Silvio Berlusconi: ‘Ronaldo refused the money from the United Arab Emirates and the United States. He told me that he has always dreamed of Milan and that he wants to come here to show everyone that he is still a great champion.’
Adriano Galliani: ‘Ronaldo is a great champion. He is really excited and determined. The news of his arrival has spread across the globe and Milan are back to being considered by the media the great team that they have always been. Now, we must substitute two important players like Stam and Shevchenko. We are once again at the formidable level of the past. Milanello welcomes Ronaldo with open arms’
Carlo Ancelotti: ‘He has always been one of the greatest champions. He really wants to play for Milan and he doesn’t have any problems with his body.’
Paolo Maldini: ‘After Maradona, the greatest opponent that I ever encountered was Ronaldo. His skill is out of this world.'
Kakà : ‘It’s difficult for me to talk about him because one of his biggest fans. When he was ‘The Phenomenon’, the number one, I was starting my career in Brazil. For me playing with him in the same club is a dream come true. In my opinion, Ronaldo’s best asset is his ability to decide the game from one moment to the next.’
Pippo Inzaghi: 'I am happy about Ronaldo’s arrival because any champion that can help Milan to win is welcomed with open arms into the team.'
Roberto Donadoni: 'The landing of Ronaldo in Milan is not a gamble. The Rossoneri have made an investment on an important player. Technically, he is amongst the best in the world. If his physical condition is good, then I don’t see why he can't do well.'
Marcello Lippi: 'From my point of view here from Viareggio, I don’t know why Real Madrid would let him go. Milan did well to sign him, he needs a motivated club. Ronie has been blessed in life, not many people have had fortune like his.'
Gigi Simoni: 'Ronaldo did well to select Milan. I think that he will do well with the Rossoneri. Ronaldo remains amongst the top five strikers around.'
Fabio Cannavaro: 'I arrived at Inter and he left. Then, I arrived at Real and he leaves. I hope this all isn’t my fault! He is a great play and he will have a great desire to show how well he can do.'
Cesare Prandelli: 'If he is feeling well and has the right motivation, then he is for me the best there is.'
Ronaldinho: ‘Ronaldo will be successful with Milan and I wish him the best. We will miss him here in the Liga, this is a loss for Spanish football.’
Ruud Van Nistelrooy: ‘I’m really disappointed about his departure from Real Madrid because he is a fantastic person. He is an incredible player, very serious as both a man and professional. He is without a doubt one of the greatest in the history of football. We will really miss him.’
Luca Toni: 'I am happy that he is back. I have always like him a lot and I was disappointed when he was injured. I think that Milan have made a great buy.'

QUOTE (redbabies @ Jan 31 2007, 01:17 AM) Oli went on loan and thats very stupid. We let the pure-class of Oli to leave us when we need him the most in CHL. Somebody would say he scored only 4 goals but he needs time and we NEED him. I'm so unhappy about that but I think Galliani wanted Ronaldo at all costs and sacrified Oli for that deal. Galliani also disappointed me with his comments regarding all the process of Ronaldo - at the begenning he said "We will buy Ronaldo only if he's free"..... than he offered them 5m euros.....than 7million.....and at the end 8 millin + Oli for 6 months. too stupidthat was a plan to reduce the price. wen we offered 11M in the summer they rejected it. and later ronaldo wanted to leave n milan wanted him for somthin less. thats y galliani said that. abt ronaldos transfer, i really think he will do well. and by the way wats his no? QUOTE (redbabies @ Jan 31 2007, 05:58 PM) I dont know if you watched him scoring the only goal this season after a lot of months for Real. It was PURE..... PURE-CLASS. He stoped the ball like magnet and finished like the real Il Fenômeno. Without a question he's still a class act. If he is motivated as he says he is and gets his fitness up to scratch, he could just run riot if our midfield is on song. He had his moments in the worldcup where you could see flashes of his former brilliance. The commentary following the ronaldo rocket against japan in the world cup - "When you shoot like that.. you don't have to move" (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Galliani backs ‘motivated’ RoniMilan Vice-President Adriano Galliani believes that new signing Ronaldo still has the motivation to play at the top level. The Brazilian finally landed in Milan on Tuesday evening and will immediately start training with the rest of the team after the Rossoneri and Real Madrid agreed a £5m transfer. “We are pleased with this signing. He will start his preparation on Wednesday morning, beginning his new life as a Milan player,†said Galliani to Milan Channel. “Roni is very motivated and that is proved by the fact that he could have earned much more by moving to another country, but he didn’t choose the easy way. “He really wants to do well. Hopefully, he will return to being Ronaldo – the Fenomeno we all know.†Reports have suggested that Milan striker Ricardo Oliveira has also been included in the deal, as Real Madrid asked for the player to join them on a loan deal. “I can’t deny that we have discussed the possibility of a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, but I don’t think this will take place,†Galliani insisted. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) “I can only say that it is exciting to have Ronaldo here, because of who he is, for all he has done and because he has written his own page in the history of football. “He has scored many goals in Madrid and Real have officially thanked him for that. He is a star and I am really pleased with his arrival, as well as the signing of Massimo Oddo.†The Rossonero does not fear the fans’ reactions, as Ronaldo returns to Milan after wearing city rivals Inter’s shirt from 1997 to 2002. “It looks like Milan can finally lift their head after what happened in the summer. I am sure that Ronaldo will be greeted by our supporters. “Intelligent people know that after five years a player can change, this happens to many players every year,†concluded Galliani. Channel4

QUOTE (Darunia @ Jan 31 2007, 08:49 PM) Great news, but Oliveira was lacking confidence before this, and who knows what will happen now that Milan tried to sell him. Seems like he'll be Milan's 4th striker (3rd for Champion's League). Exactly... He now knows that the club does not believe in him... how can he perform when he knows such thing?? And if the thought that he's going to be sold at the summer is on his mind then he's already finished with Milan... QUOTE (HasanHasanly @ Jan 31 2007, 07:34 PM) Actually i feel that Oli has got everything to be even greater than Gila, he just doesn't get the same chances. Remember a while ago we were all complaining how Gila was always on the field but never did anything. I think Oli should be given the same chance... Gila is the type of striker that will disappeare for the entire match but then pop up with a goal, Oli is different because even if he doesn't score he contributes much more to the play
