I don't think he worth that much, by the way , milan can consider other options, like buffon or amelia, even though buffon's arrival to milan seems to be quite difficult i rather to have amelia on the team, he's much younger, and very promising, but at the end, reaaally deep inside of my guts, tells me that dida will stay... but i would consider first other several options.

QUOTE (mishale @ Dec 3 2006, 10:26 PM) Chelsea doesn't need another keeper, surely not 33. 4mil for 4 years? Don't know about that. He wants to ensure a nice retirement (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If you ask me I'm all for a new keeper next year. But it's just me I have the same old feeling., would be the best choice.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 4 2006, 03:12 PM) Agreed. We don't understand it, but we've got one of the Top 3 goalkeepers in the world. We should do anything to renew his contract. definately, I don't think that buffon and chec get paid in peanuts.

I don't think it's fair to say his main motivation is money. In view of him being one of the best keepers in the world, I'd say it was a sense of self-worth.
And it's plain blasphemic to think Milan are gonna play cheapskate with this demand of his, but if they are then I'm convinced Silvio is done with and Marina is boss.
I do have a brainwave though, get rid of Kalac and get the Japanese NT keeper from the WC...Kawaguchi(was it?) I liked that dude a lot....I have no clue about his age though.

I think that its better to have a new keeper now, dida is quite old , and yes, he is a world class keeper, but he's getting older day by day, i mean, he can stay and i won't actually care, but u just don't want him to make the silly mistakes he made at the beginning, it would be a disaster.

QUOTE (mishale @ Dec 5 2006, 05:48 PM) He makes mistakes, he is human, but a GK like Dida wont be replaced easily .. Buffon, YES .. Amelia ?? He is good, but how long will it take for him to get accomidated w/ the atmosphere in the club ? In anycase, he will be replaced, if not this summer then next .. Basically we will say good bye, but how will it affect us ? Dida, we depend on him alot, maybe Amelia cant take the pressure of playing for a BIG club .. Right now all the World class GK are tied to their respective clubs; it wont be easy to lure Cech from Chelsea or Buffon from Juve .. Who are clearly the ONLY replacments for a GK like Dida, Casillas is out of the question (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
