QUOTE AC Milan are reportedly hoping to lure Didier Drogba for as little as £4million by exploiting a FIFA ruling over his Chelsea contract.
The Rossoneri have been in the market for a top-class striker since Andriy Shevchenko left for Stamford Bridge in the summer and are hoping to use a new FIFA rule in order to land Drogba in a cut-price deal.
Drogba has yet to agree an extension to his contract which expires in 2008 and under a new FIFA regulation, players can buy their way out of their contracts after three years by paying compensation to their clubs based on the value of the deal.
However, the Ivorian striker has said he wants to remain at Chelsea having started the season on form, scoring eight goals already.
He said: "Great strikers have joined the club but I am still here to serve the team."
Andy Webster became one of the first players to use the loophole when he moved to Wigan from Hearts over the summer. source: foxsoccer.com

i'm sorry, but our strike force is pitiful and needs all the help it can get
i think inzaghi and gila got to use to playing off of sheva instead of creating chances on their own.
we need someone that is use to creating chances on their own. i'm not saying drogba is the man, but we do need someone

I think Warchant..Oli is meant for the purpose u just mentioned...however...we haven't seen too much of him...Carlo I guess doesn't want to make the same mistake that Mourinho made with Sheva...

Drogba could be a good choice, let's say that he can play that same level 3-4 years more, he can create chances to score, and also, is he has a chance to score.. he rarely , but rarely waste it, olivera was brought for that , nevertheless he has not played that much , and i think that borriello will never be a world class striker, so they should be looking forward to replace him soon

QUOTE (han2503 @ Oct 13 2006, 07:30 AM) I don't know. But since we're on the topic, How is FIFA 07? Cause I was thinking of going to buy it tomorrow. Is it any good? Cause so far I've heard to totally different things about it. The guys I work with said it's addictive and the best, so far in the franchise, and on the internet on some other forums I've read that it's terrible IS QUITE COOL, i have on the x-box 360, and yes like sparrow said borrielo is quite a decent player , but is customize it just a litte bit to use it for the coppa italia hehehe , but im waiting for the pro evolution soccer also... nice game
