Any information on KAKA's younger brother he is part of Milan youth team and is playing for Riminic. I was trying to watch him play this past weekend’s game against Juve but was unsuccessful. Also any other played that might be worth paying attention to on our youth team, out scouts are going good but it would be nice to get some home grown star.

QUOTE (dst @ Sep 15 2006, 08:44 AM) han told me he'd look on Digao's display against Giuve but he was all lies in the end ... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)  (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) In the link above he looks like Ricky but has gone for a Pirlo haircut!!!! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Anyway ... Now that I think of it ... How come Milan always makes the best out of any player (like no other team can do) but rarely produce players from the Giovanili teams!!??? I think the same attention should be paid there!!!! Special attention should always go to the Giovanissimi Nazionali sqadra who won that European Cup some days ago ... As of the topic ... well Marzoratti is one of them worth noting ... as is Aubameyang (striker) Bottini and Lunati (midfielders) from what I've seen in the TIM Trophy!!! PS Looks like Rimini got themselves a beautiful site ... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He was not played against juve, the commentator did mention him however, saying they had an interesting player on their squad and that he is Kaka's brother who looks a lot like him. Anyway Eurosport haven't been showing much Rimini matches. I'll check their TV listings and see when they are showing one, and if there is one I'll be sure to catch it and report back to you dst (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) And since we are on this note, anyone who has Fifa 07, do they have Digao on their Milan team? Because he was their in mine, and at first I didn't know who the hell he was and sure that EA made another stupid mistake, but now i saw this thread and it immediately clicked in my mind btw dst don't forget about Di Gennaro from the primavera. He is one that I keep hearing about. Everyone keepse saying that he is a huge talent. (don't ask me what position he plays in cause I don't know)

Looks like Milan will be recalling him for next season.
[Next season Rodrigo Izecson dos Santos Leite will be part of the Milan squad. 'When I have a brother like Ricky, I can't be other than honored and happy and hope that one day I'll be my career will be like his. My idol? Paolo Maldini. My dream? Like all Brazilians, to play for the national team."]
From the club website: DIGAO: "Il mio mito è Maldini" 30/06/2007 MILAN - Nella prossima stagione Rodrigo Izecson dos Santos Leite farà parte della rosa del Milan: "Quando hai un fratello come Ricky non puoi essere che orgoglioso e felice e speri che un giorno la sua strada diventi un po' anche la tua...Il mio idolo? Paolo Maldini. Il sogno? Quello di tutti i brasiliani, giocare con la maglia verdeoro!". Queste le dichiarazioni rilasciate da Digao al settimanale Sport Week

Well, thats not completely true, only for the past five years, and that makes me worry much. I`ve mentioned the players our school created,...the last player who came out of our football school to wake much expectations in me was Francesco Coco, and he had really the true potential,..but never turned into something. Well, its cause of that stupid youth system in Italy,...Spain has a much more organized and better solution with does B teams,.. And what about Paolo Sammarco? Nobody mentioning him here,...but he might be good,..

QUOTE Well, its cause of that stupid youth system in Italy,...Spain has a much more organized and better solution with does B teams,.. For me, they need to take a page out of England's book on youth systems. In England you have the various youth teams, for the younger players. Then you have a a reserve team, this is used to keep fringe players on their game, gives injured players a run out, so not to just throw them back into the first team, it also helps promising younger players integrate with some of the first team. Instead of just throwing them in at the deep end, you'll see how they fare with some of your more experienced players. Whereas in Spain it's very difficult for younger players to move up, you either play in the B team, like Real's Castilla, or you play in the first team. They have to change scenery completely, which is why the top teams in Spain very rarely get players through their youth system (I think Miguel Torres, and now Ruben De La Red, are the first since Casillas at Real?). But at least they're still getting competitive football, in a league system. But if you look at the top sides in England, they'll bring through a player that turns into something great almost every year. I don't know how Italy works but I'm assuming it's worse than Spain and England, where you don't have a 'B' team or a reserve team, just various youth levels?

I don't think the system in Italy is at fault. If there's anything that needs to be changed is the policy of the clubs. But that won't happen and, in my view, it shouldn't. There are always good Italian players been produced anyways...

Well, its cause of that stupid youth system in Italy,...Spain has a much more organized and better solution with does B teams,.. And what about Paolo Sammarco? Nobody mentioning him here,...but he might be good,.. Well, Oddo was a Milan youth product .. And you have several of them playing in Serie A. Except they never reached the standards of AC Milan. You have to distinguish first of what caliber a team Milan maintains and of what caliber a team Ajax maintains. Then you can come to the conclusion, that Milan is not a football school, but a top tier club that competes for the BIGGEST of prizes. Ajax on the other hand, though still rich in history, is for the most part a football school with targets below that of a Milan stature club. Then you have to examine why can't Milan have a school in the lower divisions to bring out these talents. Well, Milan does have talent in it's lower ranks .. dst would point out Di Gennaro and several others would claim this guy can play and that kid has potential, etc ... Still, they are not ready to play for Milan. Whilst, if they were in Ajax, they would have already found their way to at least the bench of the first team (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) p.s. I do see the future n the hands of Christian and Daniel Maldini (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
