Well..thought this poll would be appropriate....I'm saying quarters at the most...Unless of course Paolo and Nesta are fully fit, our benc strength is at max and Pippo and Gila strike form...I doubt all these factors will come on together...

Right now...itz been a lucky draw...and hopefully if the luck continues who can tell...

Maybe we should focus on the scudetto instead. Now i see why inter needed so many forwards, they were doing their best to cut down our options...

If we don't sign an appropriate forward, then I say quarters. But if do get a good one, then I say final.

I think even with this team we can win the CL again. Come on, we have Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Nesta, Pippo and Kaká. How many teams in Europe have that many class players? I'd say there are only 5 teams in Europe that can compete with us.
If we don't have many players with serious injuries during the season we can surely win the Cup!

I think we'll get at least to the semis despite what some people here think (portugal), Normally once we get out of the group stage safey we get better in the KO s. And despite the fact that we are without Shva or we might not get any onther forward I still we can make it far, last season Sheva notched up almost all of his goals in the group stage and 4 of them where against a deflated fanerbache, Pippo is usually the one that was thumping them in in the big games.

That's why I think that if we don't get a new striker we should switch to the xmas tree with Pippo playing the CL game and Gila most of the serie A games.

If some of you forgot the season we won the CL Sheva was not having a good season and only scored something like 5 goals in the league and I don't think he even got off the mark in the CL.

So please people have some faith. I might have lost faith in the capabilities of our board but not in our players. And Ancelloti is one of the best when it comes to 2 legged KO games so I'm not that worried about how we will do in the CL, I'm more worried about the league with that handicap we where forced to start with

Monaco and Porto made it to the final in 2004. PSV and Villareal in the semis in 2005 and 2006. It's all about luck, and the draw. If we don't face any between Barça and Chelsea, I think we can make it.

I don't think Chelsea will even go that far this year, first of all they have so much arrogance, (one of our fomer players included) and are thinking that they have already won it.

And secondly

QUOTE
And Chelsea proved just how beatable they are yesterday, they might spend sh!t loads of money to get all the stars but the cracks in their squad have already started to show with Lampard and Ballack reportedly not being the best of friends and some of the players that where already there like Lampard and Terry have already started to show that they are not happy with the difference between their salaries and the ones Sheva and Ballack have.

I wrote this on another thread, and personally I still only see Barca as the big contender

How much stronger exactly, Ballack doesn't seem like he will ever recover 100% from his recurring injury, the rumors about the unfriendlyness between those 2 have been going around a lot, so I wouldn't totally disregard them as total rumors, with all those stars in one team some unrest between the players is bound to happen for sure.

I know it's early to judge, but chelsea are usually like the Juve (under Cappello) of England they normally start the season like robots. I guess we'll see what will happen but I'm not convinced by them, or Inter, I'm more convinced by Barca and by Real (Real did buy some players they could actually be useful and not just stars ie. Canna, Puma,Diarra and RVN) All players who would work perfectly inCappellos little 4-4-2 scheme

If we buy Oddo AND Gallas and play the Xtree then this team don't need no extra striker.

I just thought of it but I rate it highly unlikely that Milan are not buying any forward cause they think the same ... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

It depends on who we get in this transfer market.

Over the past several years Scheva was the one that got us through with some spectacular goals.

With that lethal ability up top, it hard to bet on winning the finals.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF HUNDRED POSTS!!!!!

If we re-enforce the defence with those 2 players then there is no need to get a striker just play the xmas tree with either Seedorf or Gourcuff next to Kaka and we would be set

If I remember correctly it was English tabloids that started the rumors about sheva going to chelsea and how much Abramovic wanted him, and that turned out to be true, Abramovic had been tapping up Sheva for at least 2 years trying to convince him. So I wouldn't call all their rumors complete bull sh!t.

And as I said in my previous post all those big egos in one team can only spell one thing - trouble

We're not saying he is a bad person, I know all the great things he does for charity, but that doen't meen he doesn't lie, the whole family reasons thing why he laeft was just total bs so that he doesn't upset the fans.

That's why i said that the tabloids where right when they said that Abramovic wanted him, Sheva admitted himself a few weeks ago that Abramovic had been constantly tapping him up for the last few years trying to get him to Chelsea, I'm pretty sure that Abramovic offered him something other then money and Sheva couldn't resist, what he offered I don't know but I'm pretty sure that this whole family reasons thing is not true.

That doesn't make Sheva a bad person, but as I said in another thread none of the fans appriciate the way he left and I'm pretty sure that none of them buy into the family reason story

Some people believe him some don't. I do. You don't.

It wasn't a secret that he wanted him. Abramovic said it himself.

Great that we agree.

I never said that he is a bad guy, or that I'm not grateful for all he has done for us, it's just the way he left, left a bad taste in my mouth.

I know it wasn't a secret that he wanted him, but it first came out in some English tabloids that he wanted him, then he admitted it himself

Sometimes it's pretty hard not to mention him since all these strker problems and rumors of who are we getting always lead back to him

But I agree let's stop this about him, some don't have any hard feeling toward him some do, and I guess thats the way it will stay, I know I'm not changing my mind about him and neither will mishale or anyone else that doesn't have any hard feeling toward him

I don't remember the exact dates but I will take your word for it. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But I still think that all the Ballack and Lampard thing is just fabrication. They are always looking for problems inside Chelsea.

Who knows if it's actually true, I gues we'll see what develops in the future, in the end everything comes out to light. I just think that all those egos in one team can't be that good, just Mourinho's ego is enough for any team to handle.

The last thing about Sheva. It's easy to blame him but why not to blame the scandal or the board or anything... It doesn't change anything. The transfer window is still open...

Yes they are .. Lampard said it himself, he is looking forward to linking up ..

Then they will be even more stronger .. And yes they will be THE team to beat, not withstanding Ronaldinho's Barca ..

I really do think Capello's Real will aim high in this CL too, Inter ofcourse; it surely looks like all the teams are fully equipt for the CL.

Our chances are very high to win the CL believe it or not .. our group stage is a walk in the park plus we could consintrate even more on the scudetto till February 07, (when the last 16 start) .. By then our team will be ready for anything that comes it's way .. We'd have a chance to play with the X-tree formation and improve the team from that aspect .. and (I'm praying day and night for this) our surprise to be who I want it to be ..

i think the mood in this topic is really bad. We are all heart broken. Though the poll shows the other side.

MILAN NEEDS TO WIN THE TITLE THIS SEASON.

I'm optimistic, we going to go very far. No chelsea, no barcelona, no inter, no............. can stop us.

Waiting the games to start

It's not about being optimistic it's about believing in the group of players we have, and I believe that we can still make it at least to the semi final

My CL dream for this year:

Final » Chelsea 1-2 Milan (Shevchenko 29', Kaka' 62', Oliveira 90+3')

Wouldn't that be sweet? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think I'm going to dream about that scenario tonight.

Maybe if I dream about it it will come true, I had a dream for some reason about the UEFA draws the night before they happened and I dreamth that we where going to be drawn with AEK and it happened (maybe I dreamth about it because I was really worried).
