Manchester United Football Club youngster Giuseppe Rossi admits he would like to play for AC Milan at some stage of his career.

Big things are expected of the former Parma youngster this season, as he gets set to push for a regular place in the Reds side following the departure of Ruud van Nistelrooy.

However, the 19-year-old does not envisage he will be at Old Trafford for the rest of his career, after telling Gazzetta dello Sport of his desire to return to Italy, preferably to Milan.

"My dream is to come back to Italy where there is a more technical and tactical football," Rossi said. "I have a liking for Milan, my idol was Marco van Basten.”

And these also.

Look at the last goal he scored in the first video, it reminded me a lot of that Sheva goal aginst Inter last year in the CL. I think we should definately try to get him, he could be our next big thing

Rossi

He sure is talented, but don't forget...

* Almost all of those goals were scored against weak teams, probably the B-squads of Premier League clubs which is a huge difference to the Serie A.

* What Milan needs right now is a forward who can provide with goals and passes right away, from the start of this season. Rossi hasn't got that just yet.

But I see your point and you probably don't mean that he would be a reaplacement for Sheva right now. I wouldn't mind if we signed a decent striker like Torres/Tevez plus Rossi and then sold Amoroso. Rossi would do good as a 4th striker, he'd get some valuable experience and as soon Pippo checks out, he'd be up there fighting for a first team spot. Another possibility is a loan to some minor italian club...

I'd jump up and down if we secured this young lad, no question about it! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Wow man, he really is impressive. But do you think we'll be able to sign him this summer? Casue I really doubt it.

Sir Alex Ferguon recently said he is counting on Rossi this season and that he will play a big part for Man U.

I think he is that type of striker that can make assists and score, and sure those are probably some b-teams but he is playing in some games with the first team in some of the clips you could see Rooney and other Man U players.

I think he could be our Sheva replacement, he certainly can dribble past defenders and make assists and he scored some great goals in those clips, I think he could be great at Milan, and it doesn't really matter wether he is playing against B-teams if he has the skills, the talent, the potential, the drive and the desire to play for milan (which I think he has after reading his comments) I think he can make it big, wether it is in serie A or the premiership

But if the Adriano rumors are true and they do manage to get him Rossi won't be needed so it would be the perfect time for us to swoop in and try to take him by offering cash and vogel

I respect your opinion, however I don't agree with you.
It wouldn't be fair to Rossi if we made him Shevas replacement, plus he has only 4-5 Premier League appearences or something like that. And it does matter who you're coming up against, he won't have the space against bigger and stronger teams like the ones in Serie A, which means he won't be able to create as much or make those fantastic dribbles.

You're right maybe he is too young to just be shoved into Sheva's place and be expected to fill his shoes. But I'm sure he will be able to develop into the type of striker we need.

And again I agree with you that it will be harder for him to make dribbles like he did in serie A, but as an example look at Kaka, when he came he was a huge hit because he was new and the teams and defenders couldn't figure him out and where finding it very hard to mark him, but by the second season he was being very tightly marked and that's why he had a bad season, but he still manged to over come it. This is why I'm saying that if he has the talent and the ambition he can make it, maybe he will find it hard at first but I'm sure that once he settles he would be great. (btw I'm not comparing Kaka and him in any way but was just pointing out that he could go through what Kaka did in his first seasons)

.......(I have to hand it to Han)...................
I definently think he has the potential to be a sheva style of player, the power and pace mixed with his speed make him a natural striker, but does he have the mentality?

But I agree with C.ambro and I say if he flops at Man u ......Milan should stay close to this one... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

Nice topic by the way...

I think mentality is one of the most important aspects for a player. Poor mentality is what is holding players like C. Ronaldo, Rooney and Ibrahmovic back... Just look at Messi and Cesc these guys not only have the talent, but they also have great mentality! And that's a huge part of football IMO. By the looks of it, this kid Rossi has got it all! QUOTE
New Italy coach Roberto Donadoni says he will keep a close eye on the progress of Giuseppe Rossi after the Manchester United starlet impressed for the country’s Under-21 team on Tuesday. The striker is highly thought of at Old Trafford and will be hoping to make a telling breakthrough for the first team in the coming months after the departure of Ruud van Nistelrooy. Rossi, who joined United from Parma back in 2004, has already started the new season in impressive form by earning the plaudits in his first ever Under-21 game as Italy drew 0-0 with Croatia. The watching Donadoni, who took over the reins at The Azzurri following their World Cup triumph, admits he was impressed by the Red Devils starlet and will be watching his progress closely during the coming months.  “Rossi is a really interesting player,” Donadoni told Rai TV.  “He had quality and he’s a really good level player.  “I didn’t expect this, he’s a guy I’ll surely follow also for my national team.” Rossi rejected the chance to join the USA senior squad before the World Cup, as he qualified for Bruce Arena’s side after being born in New Jersey, and could now land his dream Azzurri call-up sooner than expected. Sir Alex Ferguson has already signalled that the 19-year-old could have a prominent part to play at Old Trafford this season by refusing to allow him to join West Brom on loan. Your hopes for rossi this season please
