Lazio reject AC Milan offer for Oddo
tribalfooball.com - August 14, 2006

Lazio have told AC Milan to return with a new offer for fullback Massimo Oddo.

The Italy international wants to return to the San Siro, but Lazio president Claudio Lotito has rejected Milan's latest offer.

A bid of £3.5 million cash, plus one player between Dario Simic, Pasquale Foggia and Cristian Brocchi, was dismissed by Lotito over the weekend.

Lazio, do us a favour and TAKE BROCCHI. Too bad...

Oddo. I'll not give more than 3,5 for a 30 yo player...

Just my words! Every-one at Milan were just so happy that Brocchi returned (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
Why? So we could sell him, so he could be useful in the hunt for defenders? I see no other reason...

Brocchi has disappointed me with his appearences, so I wouldn't mind selling him. But I think we should keep Simic and especially Foggia.

It's pointless to keep Simic; both him and Broochi should leave, go on loan, retire .. Do something else other than play for Milan

I think Milan should finally get rid off players like Brocchi, Kalac, Favalli, Borriello,..what`s the point of sending them only loan every year again and again?? Instead, bring some youngsters to fill the bench podsitions and play the Cup matches.

As for Simic, I`ll skip that one cause I`m not a optimistic viewer on this matter...

It's pretty clear that Foggia isn't going to get much playing time , so I say we loan him to Lazio for 1 or 2 years, we get Oddo for the ammount we want, that way we would be getting Oddo and Foggia won't be wasted on the bench, and he will get to develop more at Lazio and when he comes back he would be ready for a first team place since Seedorf would be 32 by then it would be easy for him to take his place

That's nice...but I'm guessing Lazio will want cash + outright Foggia sale for Oddo. Those b@star@ds know to over price their players. Esp if since they sensed vr a little desperate for a RB. But from the looks of it, Bonera could cover for a RB position.

I think we wont sign Oddo. Bonera was really the last one. If we sign him, we should send them Simic on loan...

I think Simic is good to have! He is a bit of an all arounder...
Keep him untill we get some-one t really replace him, i'd prefer Barzagli!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

I think that too. Remember what Braida said: "We'll get a new player before September, and it's going to be a striker." So that seals it. But I hope he changes his mind and sign two players instead of only one.

How about Ze Maria(RB) who is releashed by Inter
Where is he now
If free then milan can buy him
DO not need to spend money on oddo(RB)

Lotito is a real pain in the ***. He thinks Oddo is the new Cafu, while he's already at his thirties. Guve us a break and accept the 5 millions + Borrielo you moron.

Lazio is thinking to replace Oddo with him, or at least that's what I'm reading.

Speaking of free players...what`s about Ze Roberto? Why didn`t we sign him. He would be usefull... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Nah, we're more than well covered in midfield. Even though he's a good player he'd just take up space that players like Gourcuff and Foggia needs to develop.

Oddo is about to turn 30, he isn't young by anymeans but he is good and we need him, Cafu seems to have started the season impecabbly as we saw in the Red Star games but at his age I doubt he will be able to keep it up all through the season wether it will be an injury or just fatigue he won't be able to keep his good form, so better to get Oddo.

Bonera is not a RB he's a CB, when he played as a CB in the game against Atletico he was very good and made some great interceptions and even managed to keep Torres quite but when he switched to RB he wasn't even pushing forward, I think it's better to get a natural RB and keep Bonera as a sub for Nesta or Kaladze

I think Brocchi can cover for Cafú pretty good, he's got all the things a right back needs. I believe that's why Ancelotti(and Berlusconi) wanted to bring him back.

No way! Brocchi sucked at the right back when he played against Lecco. Imagine what boners he may cause against Serie A teams.

At times I thought he had totally forgotten that he was a RB... He was playing like a midfielder... It was just weird.
