Tree days over... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) and it goes fast on. Did some player particullary good to be signed by Milan. Phillip Lahm showed much talent (not only cause that goal). Also some Ivory Coast players look interesting (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ! What do you think...(as more the WC stages go on, there will be more players to discuss, so...)

the trinidad keeper as our back up keeper would be nice, he was great against sweden. drogba played well against argentina. and so did crespo. wanchope had a nice goal(first goal) where he was onside.

Yeah...definetely...Riquelme is awesome, but I guess the position in the central attack midfield is already filled by Kaka, there is no need for another world class player.
Drogba was VERY good btw, and Sneijder also performed well. And after what I've seen by Crespo I agree: Get this guy back to Milan, he's still world class!!!

Yaya Toure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) We can get him with much less than we'd get Diarra and he's equally good IMO... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)
Sneijder wasn't as good as of late yesterday...

Yes, I was very impressed by his skill. And also, you are right, Sneijder wasn´t so good. I´d expected much more of him, but then again he only recently recovered from his Australia injury so he probably was´t 100% fit. yes, you're right I'm not bashing him it's just that I didn't want people to think he's just what we saw against S&M...Not that he was bad, but he's capable of bigger things! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Still, two matches to go, and then the second phase (I´m positive that Argentina and Holland will proceed) so plenty time to see Sneijder doing good stuff. I was so irritated seeing van Persie in the first eleven. I mean, he played very good, but still I am a van der Vaart fan. Also, Ruud proved his lack of form and quality. But it wasn´t a first class match all in one. Beasley dissapointed also, still I like him, maybe he would be a good Milan signing? I´m waiting for the Croatia matches to come...so that Srna can prove his skills, among the others also..

I think he would make it but there are better players around...

I'm too eager to see Srna!!!He's definetely going to get a good transfer but we still don't know to where!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I will disagree on van Persie matter though cause I like him a lot -although he was pretty decent against Serbia, Van Basten ( (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) ) keeps changing his position constantly during matches and he looks like he doesn't know where he plays (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Erm Yes Joe Cole is amongst them, just because he isn't as well known as Beckham and Rooney he is up there with them.

However on the point, I can't see Chelsea letting him go.

And the left side defender from Ivory Coast, Arthur Boka, I think he is pretty quick and young, I think he can be a good replacement for Cafu when he is gone.

He did some mistakes, but nothing that can´t be corrected there in Milanello hehe

Boka is a very good player he's compared to R.Carlos.He did not show his crossing skill against argentina but he's supposed too have a sensitive left foot.

Yaya Toure was impressive too..I never believed Kolo Toure when he said that Yaya is a better player but he could be.

Mexikos keeper sanchez did some crazy saves against Iran.

Now all that's left is Galliani to agree with us and it's done!!!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I just hope Chelsea won't get in the way cause his price will raise to 30m EUR all of a sudden... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) It'd be great if he came in and Pirlo moved upfront!!!! Now that the first match is over...I must say, Srna left some space for improvements. Against Brazil he was not much notable, still kept his level. But then againt, it was against Brazil (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ...Babić made a great match, for my supprise...All Milan players, Kaka, Dida, Cafu and Simic have to be praised also!!

Well, Croatia is a good team, and they really could get through to the next round. I am just affraid of Guus Hiddink and his Socceroos.. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ! There are some young players with much potential, like Srna, J. Leko, Klasnić or Kranjčar. Also Tudor, Kovač and some other veteran fighters. But the real problem is, that Croatia does not have many good bench players. Olić, and eventually Modrić for the attack. I would be very happy to see them go at least to the second round (then facing probably Italy or the Czechs) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) !

And what about Phillip Lahm today?? What a wonderfull tournament is he playing for us...uhhh,..Milan could really need him (remember Ziege (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) )!

I think that Mascherano can do that job pretty well, we don´t need very fast players in that part of the field, instead we need destructive and technical players there. If we get fast players there, I think that we are going to play just like the premiers-h-i-t teams.

and what Yaya Toure is fast?No pal you're wrong I've been watching him all year long in Olympiacos and he sure ain't the fast type - one of the slowest in the Ivorian team I'd say!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

*

DAVID ODONKOR DAVID ODONKOR DAVID ODONKOR....oh wait...I'm not drunk anymore (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Lahm was great though nut I expect the worst... I heard Chelski is in for him with 15 Million € bid (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

we should check in for bastin schwensteiger. he is a fine player and could fit in any side of midfield and could be a good sub for ageing seedorf

I don't think bayern would let him leave since they already lost ballack this season, but I do agree with you he would be an amazing signing and he would definitely take seadorf's place and not be his sub, just like Kaka and Rui, although Kaka is better then schwensteiger there is no doubt that seadorf would be benched and used as his SUB.

And there are a few other players that have caught my eye, some of the Equador players where amazing I don't know their names but I will check, there long balls and crosses into the box are 99.9% of the time accurate

not after last nights performance thought he gave the ball away far to much and seemed to lack ideas, but in the first game i agree he looked a totaly different player perhaps consistence might be a problem don't know just going on what i've seen. also seen today chelsea prepared to offer €20m for lahm.

Lahm stays at Bayern. The bid has been rejected...After this day (of bad football matches) I´d prefer Carceres from Paraguay/River Plate. He did a great job against the Sweds, and is could be a reinforcement, backup defender (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Yaya Toure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) We can get him with much less than we'd get Diarra and he's equally good IMO...  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)
Sneijder wasn't as good as of late yesterday...
*

After the second matches are ove, we can re - investigate the situation in this very interesting group:

1) Somebody here (I did it also,...) mentioned Boka (Ivory Coast´s left defender, not right). He played dreadfull against Holland. Devoted, but not at level. Also Tizie, the weakest Ivorian link. But, Eboue, K. Toure, but especially Meite and Zakora are excellent players who all could be Milan targets. They have to be praised (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ...

2) Sneijder...well, the first time I defended his performance. But he was once again not notable. The dutch trio Van Bommel - Covu - Sneijder looks altogether very unconvinceing, below their usual form. Maybe Wesley is still injuried or not fit, but I don´t think so. Soon, Van Basten will bring Van der Vaart in the first team, and Sneijder will move on the bench.

3) All my past criticism of Van Persie should be forgotten. Played once again very well, this time more strict on his right wing (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) .

4) Forget Nistelrooy, just look at Drogba and Crespo...those two guys deserve our attention, even if Torres lands on Milanese ground (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) .

5)Masercano is not notable by now...still waiting for him. Messi proved his class!!

I don´t really think that Crespo could be a great signing. We have Pipo to make goals inside the box. By the way, both of them are ageing, so replace Pipo with another "old" player could be a really bad busines.

I think you're wrong about Mascerano!!!He does great job that the camera won't show you but is essential in a great team!!!It's logical not to notice him when there are so many great attacking players in this team...He doesn't need to come up too much but IMO he's one of the best in the team!!!

Once again if you don't score or tackle too much the crowd won't notice you...

Teves virtually is owned by Abramovic and the only way we could get him is if there's such an agreement between the two clubs because of us letting Sheva head there!!

I don't think Torres is on his way to Madrid, adriano?I don't care about him...

if Inter sell him then they're the biggest joke in world football!!!

Who needs a source! There is none.
What happend to Raul
Real signed him when he was 16 and superb for the same team Torres plays now.
And he looks much like a Real MAdrid Component.
Look at Julio Baptista. They said he was going to Tottenham,Arsenal and Liverpool.
and arsenal nearly signed him.
Same scenario and Real will rob teams like Arsenal and Liverpool to get Him.
That's the source.

And Adriano seems to be mixing well with the Real Madrid contingent of Brazil.
Everytime he hangs out with Robinho, cicinho and Roberto carlos.

does anyone want Ze Roberto????
Italian newspapers strongly link Milan with him, other possible destinations being Real Madrid (...) and Olympiacos!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion is that he's a good player but there are equally good/better players out there who also are in their mid-twenties!!!!

Some things to discuss about...

1) Ze Roberto? Hmmm,...we have that in Serginho. He is although a great player, a crucial one in Brazils defense. I allways imagined he would move to Spain, but not Real, more Deportivo or Villiareal. But lets wait...

2) Have you seen the Holland-Argentina match? So, some comments I owe: Mascherano played real good. Like he had his 100th cap for Argentina and two Cups behind him. Well, let´s hope it stays thet way. Seems to me that I am naturally carefull by pointing out potential players, so I had to see 3 matches to be sure. Tevez played equally good, thus it wasn´t his day! Also, what did Van Basten done (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) !!?? He ruined the Dutch traditional "total" offensive football, and made his team look like a dull and untalented bunch of random players. The only player who wake some interest in me is Bouhlarouz (not sure I spelled him right) with his secure and strong appearence. Van Persie stays unpredictable, erratic and he was very aggresive against Argentina. Some other ref would have showed a card...Sneijder looked better in companionship with Van der Vaart but he still is a dissapointment so far, as the whole dutch midfield is very slow and indolent. Seems to me, Van Basten really doesn´t know what to do with his wings - Kuyt and Van Persie shifted and changed their sides thruout the match without any notable logic or tactic (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) . Only dutch players to notice so far: Robben, Van der Sar, Bouhlarouz+some players who stay at a certain "status quo"

3) Ivory Coast showed it once more! We have to get one of them - Zakora, Eboue, Drogba or Yaya Toure! They just have so much of that Milan needs. Imagine the Ivorians with a defense like Milans (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) !?

4) Germany, in contrary to my expectations of Holland, proved many talents. Lahm, I think he is the one we need, but seems that Bayern, after loosing Ballack and especially Ze won´t let him. But maybe with the proper amount... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . Klose showed his class! A player that scores 5 goals in his first tournement, and then starst the second with 4 goals in 3 matches has to be rated highly. We should consider him too.

I think you're harsh on MVB cause Argentina is (to me at least) clearly better than the Netherlands and outplayed them everywhere on that field...He always alters Van Persie's flank though during games sometimes a bit too often, something I don't get cause he's not ready to do it yet!!!
Sneijder and Van der Vaart are the major dissapointments so far from the Dutch's squad...

Did Yaya Toure play well against Serbia??I didn't feel like watching the game last night so I wouldn't know...

Yaya made a solid performance, but the Serbia match is one of the matches everything turns upside down - Serbia played with determined self destruction - red card for Nadj, Dudic plays handball in the penatly area once, no...twice...so two penalty kicks. My god, I felt sorry for them, the first time since many many years. What a tournement, a final display of the caotic Yugoslavia, and now it sinks to history (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) .

It seems to me that Holland is all in all a big disappointment. I waited one match, the second...but now! They were secure for the second round, played a match without pressure, still made such a bad and sterile display! Horrible, itś not the Holland I´ve used to watch (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) . Football with minimum risk, only for the result...bah,... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

And what about this day? Seems that Milan players made a pretty important day - Pirlo was good, Nest injuried, Pippo scored, Simic good but collected a stupid second yellow, and the king - Kalac, nearly helped Croatia to the next round!? And potential Milanisti - Srna, well, at last something - a beatiful free kick. The rest of Croatia was miserable (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

Milan has for a long time not acquired an African talent.
Weah was (i think) the last African player.
Its always Arsenal Chelsea and french clubs have been acqiuring them.
I hope the trend changes now.

Maxi looks really good to me. He could be the right wing solution for us, that is I think one of the many priorities we have. Yes, nice movement, good pace and passing accuracy, and well, his finishing...mmm...we saw the Mexico game (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) .

At this point I would add some more interesting players:

Asamoah Gyan (Ghana)
Stephan Appiah (Ghana)
Khalid Boulahrouz (Holland)
Sulley Muntari (Ghana)
Luis Valencia (Equador)
Lucas Neill (Australia)
Phillip Degen (Switzerland)

And to say at last the major dissapointments of this tournement so far:

1) England: Lampard took 30 -35 shoots, still no goal. Becks, well, his FK saved them twice. Owen and Rooney not prepaired, and without a real good alternative (my god can you even look at Crouch?). Defens? Yeah, yeah Rio-Terry, oh, the best defens of the world...oh please, have they ever seen Cannavaro and Nesta play? Or Billy ond Paolo? Puh, I hope Portugal will beat them..to reach the semis would be a punishment for football (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) .

2) Holland: I´v said enough of them. No attack, katastrophic midfield and embaressing tactics. Marco Van Basten wasn´t ready for that job. With the right tactic and two or tree players (Huntelaar, Seedorf, Kalou and Maakay) he lelft Holland could reach the semis with ease (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) .

3) France: No elan, no potential, no danger! Nothing of the former champions!

3) Eastern European teams: Croatia, the Czechs, Poland, Serbia,...all out. Only Ukraine. Just because of Tunisa and the Saudis. All teams showed oldfashioned football without any notable freshness (maybe not Croatia and the Czech Rep...it was rather unfortuned to see them out) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

Still looking for improvements: Portugal and Brazil (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Well i jsut like yo invite Riqueleme to try for a test in milan if he did very well he is a good player ow i wish he could be able to perform coz i beliave in him much. Also we a need a back up imn our defence also we someone like Oguchi Oyewu in U.S.A, just like Sergio Ramos in Spain let him come for trial if he does well pic him. Just like our MIddlefield also we a back up someone like Marcos Senna or Manich in portugal he also believe in him and as for our attack we need a sharp, strong and speedy player some like Obinna Nsofor the Chievo player to come for a trial iif he does well pic him up his a good player which i believe his going to perform most especially when we have player like Pirlo, Sedorf, Kaka, Gattuso, or if fortunate Riquelme to give him a pass assist him to get a goal for we are the best in all the assuries.. Yeah, he'll be very p!ssed. You don't invite Riquelme for a test, you can invite an 18-year old nobody for a test, but not Riquelme...

Maybe a mental test?? In my opinion he is a looser. He can´t do it! He is good, nothing speciall, I´v seen many many better players on this position, but he simply is not the winning type...Its partially because of him why Argentina was not prepared to win the WC (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I agree that he's like........an Inter player but IMO he's not just good, he's excellent but that mentality he lacks deprives him of being among the legends!!!

I don't know about them Ukranians I don't think they'd be that good
I heard Man U. wants Kalinichenko and Milevski while Porto is after Rusol and Kalinichenko.Inter seems to be after Tymoschuk (I like him) but he's a non-EU player (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

i know that, but Lahm can fill the position as left back with maldini pairing with nesta in centre. and of course cafu on the right.

Milevski shocked me, when he took such a penalty against Swiss (he thinks he is totti?? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ).

If he got such nervs he can play everywhere!

From what I've seen so far I'd really love to have Joaquin and Mascerano in Milan.
The former is probably on his way to Madrid though...As for Teves, well it was fun talking about him but we all know he's Abramovic's player!!!
Torres?I truly hope he won't come!!!

Because that's your opinion maybe????

I don't trust him OK?I think it would be a risk and it's not worth taking it considering the amount of money we'll have to spend!!!!!

Is that enough for you???

Maybe I'll say only what you wanna hear from now on....

how's "Oh I love Torres so much please Galliani, please bring him to Milan" for you???

Hmmm,...I think you are right. There is something in Torres that bothers, in moments he appears to me so arrogant. I fear he is too young to take that kind off label, a superstar striker. Honestly, he scored against Tunisia and Ukraine...not the best defensive teams. But that doesn´t matter. The real thing is that I would be much happier with spending the money on defensive reinforcements and a cheaper striker talent. Think Torres is not worth that money Atletico asks for. No, I would not be happy with him... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Miguel? Uhhh...too unreliable. I know this player very well, he has solid attacking skills but acts to often very risky and unpredictable in a negative way. Not Milan quality I fear!

No, honestly, what about Franck Ribery, until now he was the biggest surprise until now in this WC, and he really impressed me. He's fast, he can dribble, he can score, he's young. So....what else do we want?

Ribery? He is good, but he is no fun to "watch" lol... If he comes to Milan he should shave his whole head just like Dr. Galliani... Still, you can't compare this with Ribery. He's neither blonde nor does he have flashy hair (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I guess we only have different opinions on Ribery, that's OK, plus it's almost certain he won't play for Milan. As I just read, he's very close to sign in Lyon.
