Robinho won't play cause he had some problems with his passport and remained in Frankfurt. He should join the team in the next few days.

I like the line-up, except Ganz showing our lack for a Pato backup, and where in earth is Abbiati?

Who is expect to know what that means? I had to look it up at a sport site, and it says the game starts in 5 hours + few minutes. So still plenty of time to go to the grocery store. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I hate the different names for the time zones. Why can't there be just one? Everytime I see GMT or EST or whatever I never know which one it is. I had to look GMT up for God's sake, and EST is likely spelled wrong.

And know KillerMax posts EDT, NEVER heard of it.

Are we expect to know them all? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I just mostly know CET, GMT and then there are the ones used by the americans, pacific, central and eastern

GMT is the most commonly used and then preceeded by the - or + amount of hours

Ibra scored for PSG and have to hope for something from the fodder XI that we're fielding today....I think we have enough to worry about to bother with Chelsea's pre season form...know what I'm sayin?

Urby is just great.I wonder if we can play him as part of our mid 3.

He has done that plenty of times, and doing usually well.

A couple of takeaways...
I watched on ESPN and Twellman was one of the commentators... the guys is such a joke, cant even pronounce KPB haha kept saying KPG. Shows how biased he is... Him and Alexi Lalas should really be off television... makes us Americans look ignorant.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Traore' is horrible, the guy can't do anything... only run... and sack trap. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Emanuelson seems to have a scoring touch, his explosiveness in midfield is impressive, and he can generate a good amount of attacking steam. Perhaps as it was previously mentioned he could be converted into our other midfield runner..
Emanuelson- Montolivo- Noce
Boa
I thought our defenders looked decent, I would like to see Mesbah replaced with someone who can actually defend, and perhaps another center.. (Astori anyone?)... but we did have crosses in the box... which leads to the next point.

We definately need a true CF, a big man like Dzeko would be ideal as we could add a bit of height up top, but someone to back Pato up in case of injury... a goal scorer.

Boateng is a poor excuse of a trequartista. I feel ashamed that the legendary #10 is worn by someone like him. Montolivo did pretty well in front of the defense, never lost the ball and was pinpoint in his tackles. Antonini and Mesbah are horrible fullbacks. We need to sign a new LB ASAP!

It's not that KPB is a bad player, he is just not a proper number 10. He doesn't have nearly enough creativity to be considered a 10. This was my first thought when I heard that he would be upgrading. As far as LB's go, I would be very happy with Santon, Balzaretti, or Criscito.. all solid Italian two way backs.

No problem with Boateng, he's a great player and we're lucky to have him. He's just not a trequartista, plain and simple.

Exactly. It was perfectly fit for Cassano after Ibra left, yet someone completely inappropriate like Boateng gets it. It's like if Gattuso got the #10 after Rui Costa left, instead of Seedorf.

Free agent, muscle player, ugly. In other words, Allegri's type.

Yep, Boateng should have gotten the #4 or even #7 now that Pato took the #9. But I think Cassano wanted to keep #99 for some reason, it's what he had at Samp as well.

And yeah, you can't really complain about bias when you're watching a game on a club's dedicated channel. It's obvious they're going to favour their own team no matter what.

It's the only thing that I can't stand from our kits this season, not only is it white so it stands out like a mother, but it's unnaturally big, so it flaps around alot. Very ugly detail, at least if they wanted to make collars they should have been smaller and black with red accents

We'll see how we'll look in the coming friendlies against Real and Juve to see how in shape the players are. The guys coming back from the Euros all look good, Robinho also looking very lively and El Shaa is really starting to get involved more in our plays instead of just being there

Thanks for the link X-Off.

A couple things I noticed:

It is obvious we are a stronger team with Cassano in attack.

Robinho is looking lively, and that goal was great! But his weakness is when he is being challenged physically. And Serie A is a different story.

I don't care what you guys say, but Nocerino is our new striker! I've seen numerous strikers who have less finishing technique than him.

The team has looked faster in these friendlies now that Ibra is gone. I like it. Now we need some quality reinforcements.

And I don't know what you saw han, but El Shaarway didn't look impressive to me. He needs to create more and worry less about scoring IMO.
