Chelsea, Gijon, Bologna, Lugano, Genoa... ENOUGH?!
We're in the relegation zone.

WHAT ARE THE EXCUSES NOW?

PS: Who was the muppett who said City was the laughing-stock in Europe right now?

Agree with the sentiment, but not exactly a news article. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Moving to the appropriate forum.

I don't think there ARE any excuses. Today was an embarrassment.

Pato's not ready. He has potential but he's not ready yet.

Borriello and Sheva should be played upfront from the start next match in my eyes. Even if that means dropping Ronaldinho or Kaka...

In sport, it's natural to compare teams or athletes. Milan to Inter. Benfica to Porto. Madrid to Barcelona. Bolt to Asafa. Nadal to Roger.

Now, don't cnut about dst. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) It wasn't for you... you know it.

A bitter afternoon for Milan at Genoa: the Rossoblu won 2-0, thanks to goals by Sculli and Milito in stoppage time with a penalty. The Rossoneri are still bottom and unlucky with their shots.

Why not keep things simple? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Drop Ancelotti, and get a fresh start. It isn't too late now.

If you want to go for an unproven coach, go for Baresi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) At the very least, he's a strict guy (like Porty said), not a tag along like Rijkaard or Donadoni. If there are better solutions available then go for them, Van Basten maybe? But Carlo continuing may prove to be suicidal from here on now. I sense there is trouble in the dressing room because of him.

Either that, or the fact that he can't motivate the players anymore - he's past his shelf life. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Maybe even both.

He wasn't when he left us. but now his characteristics are those of a target man. he's rather slow and can't support another striker. that's for sure. he should play up front and convert the chances others provide for him. he CAN'T play like Kaka, Dinho, etc.

There is an interesting Vote on Gazzetta :

(IMG:http://www.picamatic.com/show/2008/09/14/08/31/1004640_bigthumb.JPG)

From 9845 votes : about 62 % goes to shopping , 26% goes to coach and 11% misfortune .

There is a huge sadness but i will not blame any individual , nor players or coach or even Galliani anymore but i want to see much more than this from Milan .

^^^

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) You just hate him coz he's black and he can rap better than you can. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Naah..it's a question of gelling. I think there are just way too many world beaters in there in terms of offense, and too many soft heads in there in terms of defense.

So now the offence and the defence don't gel, for obviously different reasons. And till they do, the mid-field (the best mid-field in the world) are gonna run around like headless chickens.

I'd think we have to go back to basics. No more wheelin dealin, till we get the basics right.

Each player in the 11 needs his job description. No free role for anybody, till we get the basic gameplay right.

(I'm sorry, I must control myself sometimes! but I was itching to say that!!)

Ronaldinho will push Kaka out of Milan? I don't think so... if Ronaldinho plays great and shows he's capable of filling Kaka's empty place (which potentially he is IMO), there is a tiny possibility Kaka could leave. I hope I don't witness that day though.

Maybe it's just me but I see Ronaldinho more as a threat to Seedorf.

Maybe it's just me but I see Ronaldinho more as a threat to Seedorf.

Yeah, same I just worry that playing Kaka and Ronaldinho we leave too much of the midfield open and are asking a lot of Flamini/Gattuso.

It also means (under Carlo anyway) that we can't have 2 forwards which I think we'd benefit more from.

Great idea....positional rigidity!! Only I think R80 needs to be free, with some freedom given to Kaka too. Pirlo needs to sit this one out because he's waaaaay to free. $h!tchel$ki needs to ensure that Pato's and Borriello's boots are clean, shiny and the pegs are in place THAT should be his position

---------whatever crap we field----------
-Zambro-Senderrors-Kaladze-Antonini
------------Ambro---flam--------------
----Dinho-----------------------Kaka----
-----------Duck---------Borriello-----

Bring on Seedorf FOR R80 later on in the game even if R80 is playing well so that they BOTH get the point (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ancelotti in Milan crisis talks

AC Milan have denied a report of a boardroom split over the future of coach Carlo Ancelotti, following lengthy talks on Monday.

For all the latest in the countdown to the big clash at Valhalla, visit our Ryder Cup microsite, with Range Rover Sport.
Ancelotti and the board were locked in crisis talks for two-and-a-half hours following the Rossoneri's second successive defeat on Sunday.

Following the talks, Sky Sport 24 reported that club vice-president Adriano Galliani and general director Ariedo Braida had spoken in favour of firing Ancelotti, but technical director Leonardo talked them out of it.

However, a statement on the AC Milan website described that as "totally lacking in foundation".

"The story reported by Sky Sport 24 which claimed the coach of Milan, Carlo Ancelotti, was saved in his job by Leonardo against the opinion of Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida is totally lacking in foundation," said the statement.

Earlier, Ancelotti emerged from the talks but gave away little about his future with the club.

"We had a reunion to find the most fitting coaching solution," he said. "Did we find it? Yes."

Also present at the meeting were chief medic Jean Pierre Meersseman and athletic coach Daniele Tognaccini.

Ancelotti has been in the hotseat at Milan for seven years, and has led them to a host of trophies including the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and two Champions League titles - the last of which came as recently as 2007.

Galliani had given Ancelotti a vote of confidence following the 2-0 defeat at Genoa, which left the Serie A giants rock-bottom of the table with no points from their opening two games.

The Milan chief was adamant the club was not considering a change of coach, at least in his public statements.

"Ancelotti will remain the coach of AC Milan," he said. "I will not say it again and not because I will change my mind about this but rather because it becomes repetitive.

"I dont want to hand any excuses but up to now we haven't had time to train together as a team due to many of our players having had to play for their respective national teams.

"Now we have three weeks to ourselves and we must continue to work hard."

The Rossoneri will have little time to rest as they begin their UEFA Cup campaign on Thursday when they host FC Zurich, before welcoming early Serie A table-toppers Lazio to the San Siro three days later

You'd be suprised then bluey. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Coz Carlo could be fired and go coach Roma, but every time he came to the Siro, they'd applaud him.

I think what happened is basically...Braida and Galliani telling Carlo to shape up or ship out, and Leo responding, saying it wasn't all Carlo's fault.

Before the start of the season Galliani publicly warned Carlo about how he'd done his job and it was now Carlo's responsibility to deliver results. so it IS Carlo's fault, because if he thinks the squad is not even good enough to beat a newly promoted team, he must make way for another coach. in other words he's accepted a responsibility and MUST deliver results!! Galliani warning him to shape up or ship out is only fair.

fak this shows what i feared we have changed from 4-3-2-1 to 4-3-1-2

The Rossoneri have been poor in Serie A thus far but they have the chance to lift their heads and morale up when they take on Swiss side Zurich in the UEFA Cup tomorrow night.

A number of injuries have ravaged the side with Andrea Pirlo the latest casualty to pop into the treatment room.

Ancelotti has a selection headache but Clarence Seedorf is likely to start in Pirlo’s place with Kaka behind a front two pairing of Pato and Borriello.

Andriy Shevchenko has not been too impressive and he is likely to start on the bench. Ronaldinho has also been dropped and it is highly unlikely he will feature.

Another surprise will be the return of Nelson Dida. The Brazilian has not played a full 90 minutes for nine months and Ancelotti may decide to give him the nod and the wink in goal.

Bonera, Kaladze, Jankulovski and Antonini make up the back line with Ambrosini and Flamini completing the midfield in what should be a 4-3-1-2 formation.

Milan fans will be hoping Ronaldinho is not absent for too long as many will remember the Brazilian being neglected by Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona last term, and the result then was clear for all to see.
