QUOTE Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has confirmed his intention to leave Stamford Bridge next June.(IMG: http://images.athleteline.com/journal/Drogba_Mourinho.jpg) The Blues star confessed last October that he wants to leave the London club and the Ivorian has once again expressed his intention to move. The former Marseille star has confirmed that he said to magazine France-Football he has always felt unsettled at Stamford Bridge, but he still wants to win titles before ending his Chelsea adventure. Drogba has refused to reveal the name of his next club, with Serie A giants Milan possible suitors. The striker was operated on on December 8 and has not played since the surgery. He is hopeful he will defend his country’s flag during the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Ghana. “ It comes from me, I said what I am thinking, that I wanted to leave,†he told Eurosport. “ The problem is that I say that I want to leave since two or three years.“ Mourinho’s departure didn’t help, to the contrary it made my desire to leave even bigger.“ I am not going to speak about that (his next club), we will in the meantime.“ My major objective is the ACN and winning all the interests we have to win when I’ll return for Chelsea.“ The most important is the Champions League but when you are playing for the English title, you don’t swipe on it.†http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Foo...a-on-departure/ Get him. I meant... "them". (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

So our striker line with Drogba would be...
Drogba, R99, Pippo, Pato, Gila.
Possible combos...
Drogba-R99; Drogba-Pato(?), R99- Gila, Gila-Pato(I have a big feeling, this could be a huge thing), Pato-R99 (Viva Brazil!),R99-Pippo (?), Pato-Pippo(Could be good as well!), Drogba-Gila (am not convinced about this one, unless the 4-3-1-2 had only one DM).
I like this...on paper if Drogba doesn't do a Sheva with us, we could rival Inter.
But if we have Drogba, I don't see the need for R10. Would be too much of a good thing.

QUOTE Milan set for Chelsea two? Monday 7 January, 2008
There are renewed reports that Jose Mourinho is set for the Milan job this summer and that he will bring Chelsea star Didier Drogba with him.
The pressure is mounting on Carlo Ancelotti in the Rossoneri hot seat as he prepares to try and remedy a stuttering start to the Serie A campaign.
Despite delivering the Club World Cup in December, Ancelotti has been heavily criticised as his side have fallen out of Scudetto contention.
Mourinho is waiting to return to management and there were whispers that he turned down the England job as he had already agreed a deal with a top European side.
The Portuguese tactician has hinted that the Diavolo have approached him and according to the People, his arrival could attract the unsettled Drogba to San Siro.
The prolific Ivorian hitman was one of Mourinho’s most committed disciples and admits that he is headed for a Stamford Bridge exit.
“At the moment I think that at the end of the season I want to leave Chelsea,†Drogba told Eurosport.
“I have played here for two or three years already and the departure of Mourinho certainly didn’t help me. On the contrary, it made my desire for a fresh start still greater.â€
The People suggests that Milan would need to table an offer of £40m to convince Chelsea to relinquish their grip on Drogba.

QUOTE (armisse @ Jan 7 2008, 10:38 AM) Did anyone see Ricardo Oliveira in front of Real last night ? Yeah he played very well. But I just don't think he's made for Italian football. The spanish league suited him much better

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Jan 7 2008, 12:25 PM) Why not?? It seems to work for Arsenal? He spends on young players which he turns into great players... is that what you want in Milan?? A team that's constantly under development??

Drogba would be a perfect catch. Finally we would have a successor for Weah,..

QUOTE (whoarethepatriots @ Jan 7 2008, 10:27 PM) Sheva was Weah's replacement. Drogba would be more of a Bierhoff replacement, albeit more skilled I didn't mean that based on his abilities, more as a African striker who can win the best player award with us just like Weah. But Bierhoff,..no...Bierhoff has no replacement. He's unique in every way (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I know you guys will eat me up after this, but,..I really prefer Weah to Sheva. Once I liked Andrej very much, but that's nothing compared to how much I adored and still adore Weah,..

QUOTE (kdman @ Jan 8 2008, 01:10 PM) Chelsea have confirmed that they're in talks with Bolton for Anelka. I guess that means they know they can't hold onto Drogba after this season. I think it's more to do with Drogba, and others, leaving for the African Cup of Nations. This leaves only Sheva and Pizzaro as senior striker at the club, and I'm not sure Grant trusts either of them. In saying that, they'll probably buy another striker in June anyways, and Milan will take Drogba.

QUOTE (mishale @ Jan 8 2008, 04:35 PM) That and Sheva is injured so that leaves them only with Pizzaro. Either Anelka or Berbatov will arrive in this transfer window. Drogba is full of sh!t. He has been talking about leaving for the last two years. Plus, Chelsea won't sell him for less than at least 30m pounds ( The highest Milan payed for a player so far is £28m for Rui Costa). It's about time that this fact changes...I was surprised to found out that we have been equalized and compared to Chelsea or Real. So, let's get into big business and don't care about spending. If Drogba want's to leave, he'll leave. Chelsea has a certain history in scoring own goals threats
