Milan’s Clarence Seedorf wants to end his career at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. “I don’t think I will move again,†he underlined.
The midfielder joined the club in 2002 from city rivals Inter and he insists the outfit still offers him the motivation to go on – despite winning a Scudetto, Champions League and Italian Cup there.
“A player like me finds new stimuli every year and this is very exciting,†stated the Dutchman on Tuesday.
“My contract is still fairly long and I would not like to move at the age of 34 or 35,†added the 31-year-old Dutchman, who is tied to Milan until June 30, 2011.
“I would like to end my career here. This is a special group of people and it would be very hard to leave for something else that I do not know.â€
Seedorf has been in fine form of late and the man who scored in the 1-1 with Catania on Sunday is looking forward to another Champions League showdown against Liverpool.
“Reaching the Final was one of our season objectives, along with ending the campaign in the top four positions,†he continued.
“We worked hard and we knew we could do something important. Facing Liverpool again will be just another motivating factor for us,†explained the player, who has won the European Cup with a record three different outfits – Real Madrid, Ajax and the Rossoneri.
“I am sure we can do well, we have gained experience and we know how to prepare for this kind of match. We want to lift the Cup and this time it will not end on penalties.â€
