Milan and Inter indicted!

Milan and Inter have been indicted by Federal Prosecutor Stefano Palazzi as part of his latest investigation.

Both clubs have been accused of false accounting in order for them to register for the 2004-05 season and Palazzi decided to hand the case to the disciplinary commission after completing his enquiry.

The investigation was launched after goalkeeper Simone Brunelli reported that his signature had been counterfeited in 2003 when he was sold from Milan to Inter.

The unknown 23-year-old player, who is still owned by Inter but has been out of action since 2004 because of an injury, was sold to the Via Durini outfit during the summer of 2003.

However, he only learned about his transfer from the newspapers and received a signed contract at his home only after insisting the club send it to him.

He then discovered that the signature on the agreement was not his and that he was valued at £2m, despite his monthly wage only being £1,700.

Brunelli’s case, as well as a civil enquiry, caused the new Federal investigation to be launched. Milan and Inter will now be judged by the disciplinary commission for objective responsibility in the case.

Nerazzurri official Gabriele Oriali and the goalkeeper himself, who moved to Vis Pesaro on a loan deal in 2005, will also go in front of the commission.

Palazzi also transmitted the file to Federal Commissioner Luca Pancalli, who will be called to assess the situation and decide if the clubs will be handed any punishment.

Milan and Inter have both maintained their innocence. If found of wrongdoing they could be fined or docked points, even if the latter is unlikely according to reports in Italy.

The max they will get is probably they will have to appologize to the player and pay some sort of money etc etc. And that is true about italy investigating everything. Its like the people in italy are so bored, that they dig and dig till they find small traces of cheating. Why dont we do this with madrid, you'll find a nice stash there i bet (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Indictments Handed Out Against AC Milan And Inter

The words "scandal" and "calcio" will continue to be linked after Thursday's news that both of Serie A's Milan clubs face legal challenges.

FIGC (Italian Football Federation) prosecutor Stefano Palazzi has has brought indictments against AC Milan and Inter over falsifying documents about the transfer of a player between clubs. The announcement comes about a week after Adriano Galliani, AC Milan's vice president, and Massimo Moratti, Inter's president, were questioned in the initial probe.

Goalkeeper Simone Brunelli is the player whose transfer has been called into question. Brunelli claims he never signed transfer documents sending him from Milan to Inter back in 2003 when he was just a teenager.

Brunelli noticed the signature discrepancy, as well as the inflation of his value, shortly after the deal was completed. His wages netted him about $40,000 a year, but his value was listed at an astounding $4 million.

The clubs now both face possible fines or even lost points. AC Milan, as we all recall, ultimately were docked 8 points at the start of the current Serie A campaign for their part in the Calciopoli scandal.

Why do the management always seem to get involved in corruption? If they tried running the club legitimately then perhaps we wouldn't have to worry about any 'digging' (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

We worry because in Italy they care enough to make an investigation and even punish those proven guilty... you think these things do not happen in the EPL or La Liga?? Come on... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

So because it happens in other countries it makes it ok for us to do it? Are you Galliani in disguise? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

We have been dragged into enough scandals recently and our history doesn't help us. If being involved in Caciopoli wasn't bad enough, we know get dragged into this!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely unbelievable (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I totally agree .. not this summers incedent and definatelly not now.

But as it seems, this time around .. The clubs have a minor problem to handle.

As a case, wow counterfit !! Damn, basically fraud and we definately need to worry. But as a business .. Berlusconi and Moratti will keep him quit (in someway, type, or form) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) It is unethical to the highest degree, but my point is, as fans, what power do we have over these board members .. I mean their the ones who have kept their respective clubs on it's legs and kept them playing on the highest of levels .. They cant handle something like this ? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

We shouldnt be involved in any of this; and neither of us is involved in any of this (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

It's the board's doing and they r dealing w/ it. I hate to say this, but this type of unethical behavior happens in any country around the world, it's a matter of who has the leverage; in which case we both know who (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Really sad that the glorious standard(flag) of our club should be dragged through the gutters, again, and over such a nobody.

If we just ran the club properly and legally, we could laugh at everyone else when they got fined, docked points or relegated....as it is we're one of them and hence fail to prosper from other teams suicidal actions becuase we're at it ourselves.

It is a disgrace to the position we hold in footballing history.
