I hope he get's better .. But I dont think his injury is critical to the team .. As he is still young and is a rotation player .. Therefore, I dont find this alarming, but I do wish him well

I think a cracked rib is usually 4-6 weeks. But it may be longer because he won't be able to exercise during that time so he will probably get a little out of shape.

Gourcuff injury blow
Friday 29 September, 2006

Milan starlet Yoann Gourcuff could be out for the next three weeks after a scan confirmed that he has cracked a rib.

The 20-year-old sustained the injury during a training session before the Champions League clash with Lille this week, which ended with a goalless draw.

Recent reports suggest that the Frenchman was already suffering before the match against Ascoli last week, but Milan’s medical staff did not believe it was a serious injury.

The French youngster, who has been dubbed the next Zinedine Zidane, joined the Rossoneri from Rennes this summer and enjoyed the spotlight after scoring in his Champions League debut against AEK Athens.

The U-21 international’s absence will be a blow for Milan, who have drawn their last two matches 0-0 and will host Siena at the San Siro on Sunday.
