Can someone believe that Galliani could offer 30 millions for Didier Drogba?
He was able to buy Sobis for less than half that money.

I don't think it would happen, but there does seem to be some speculation. I think he is young and not perhaps as poor as I thought previously. I'm never sure whether we're talking in Pounds or Euros, though obv I always go by Pounds. He was bought for 24 Million pounds, but hes not worth that much. But given they sold Duff for just 5M Pounds, making a huge loss, obv the moneys no problem (as if we didnt know already) Id say we shoudl pay no less thatn 15M, Pounds that is.

No way should we pay 30million for crap like Drogba. I wouldn't pay anything for him, I just wouldn't sign him.

I don't think Drogba is the type of player we're looking for. He's not a real box-striker, but he has more or less the same abilities of Gilardino. I would pick Ronaldo over him anyday. And 30 millions is way too much.

Oh yes he is...and even if not...it would be good to have him. I`m not interested in money, that`s the boards job. IMO Gilardino wasn`t worth that money we gave to Parma either. But who cares, he plays and is allright so let`s go on... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

NOT WORTH IT!!!!
Besides I don't think Chelsea would let him go anyway. Isn't he their top goal scorer so far this season? I think they need him.

Milan's board seriously screwed the pooch this summer. So much talent and we just watched it sail by. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

The best way to look at it is to say, "I'm glad its not my money."

But really, if your talking to Chelsea, talk Gallas, not Drogba.

Great. I personally do not like Tevez much, and Drogba, well I think they just did not know how to use his talent and potential. The world`s greatest club would have known that... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

Oh...good point!
Either way, he's still not worth $30 mil. No Way!! I think though in light of Drogba's performance so far this year (I know he's only played in two and a half games) Chelsea would rather keep Drogba (who they know) than take Tevez (who they don't know). Milan should take Tevez on loan. I think Chelsea would be willing to accept that. Besides I feel as though after we dealt with them both with Crespo and with "7", they'd be willing to negotiate. I would like to think that they even feel a bit guilty after having taken from us "the man who's name shall not be spoken."

We should bounce Amaroso, buy Olivera, and take Tevez on loan.

QUOTE
Drogba Spotted Meeting With AC Milan
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

In what is probably a slight violation of Jose Mourinho’s club rules, Didier Drogba was apparently spotted meeting with AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliano in a Milan restaurant on Monday. Could be that he was just there on a quick holiday during the international break, but Italian paper Gazzetta Dello Sport claims they met for 15 minutes and that Milan could be ready to table a massive bid for Droggers (as his friends call him).

If true, it seems unlikely that Mourinho would let him go at this stage in the season. After some initial doubts about staying in England, Drogba has adapted nicely to the Premiership and ended up as the league’s top assist provider last season and was widely hailed for his spectacular performances. He’s also the perfect battering ram foil and outlet for a lot of Chelsea’s players, doing the dirty work that Shevchenko and and others avoid. In essence, he’s the answer to the question “What do you get a Galatico squad that has everything?”.

there were no silly demands; he's one of the best in the world (you simply have to watch Chelsea's defense in the last three games to tell that) and the price for him (being about 15m EUR) is not too high IMO ... Milan just don't feel like spending (so far) this summer!!!!

He isn't anything special, as dst said Gallas is miles better then him, that's why the Chelsea defense is looking really bad lately. If Terry where such a good defender he would be able ta adapt to any new partner and any situation.

Hey, we have Nesta and we went through a very bad defensive crisis last season. Doesn't mean anything! Terry is a great defender. He is a hard worker and never gives up! The only problem in Chelsea's defense is Murinho! He really doesn't know how to line up the defense. Someone is playing somewhere every other game.

HA HA
considering the fact that next to Alessandro The Great was a joke called Kaladze what we witnessed last season by Nesta was a miracle not a crisis!!!!

believe me I know defenders a lot; it's them I watch most in a game cause that's the position I like; Gallas is definetely better than Terry!!!!

You can't compare that situation with this one. Nesta was used to leaning on Maldini, when he was at Lazio he was the leader of their defense, but when he came to Milan he was a little bit spoilt because all he had to do was follow Maldini's lead. But once he got used to it our defense was seemingly back to normal, I mean the man made Kaladze look like some kind or unpenetrable rock. That should speak for itself.

But you are right on the mourinho thing

Actually the crisis was over when Carlo moved Kaladze to the Center. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Terry is great, otherwise he wouldn't be in the Chelsea starting 11. You know Abramovich and Murinho... Mourhino said that as no one has made any offers then he thinks Gallas will stay, but he said if he wanted to leave there isn't a lot chelscum coud do about it.
And he's reportedly worth £8m(not sure how many Euros (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

Please tell me you're having a laugh? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) While he might not be the best in the world he is certainly up there with the best. He is only second to Terry at chelscum, and would make a fine acquisition(sp?) for Milan IMO.

he had a nice second goal in the chelsea vs blackburn game. while sheva couldsnt do much, when watching u can see how different chelsea plays to milan and how sheva is so used to playing creative football like milan. and ballack was pretty much invisible, well i watched second half
