Ronaldo bid failed?Reports in Spain are suggesting that the negotiations for Ronaldo’s transfer from Real Madrid to Milan have ground to a halt. The deal seemed near to being closed on Wednesday evening, when Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani and director general Ariedo Braida flew to Madrid. The officials met Real President Ramon Calderon and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic, but Spanish newspapers AS and Marca are now claiming that their bid failed. The Spanish giants apparently insisted on Milan midfielder Kaka being included in the deal, despite the Rossoneri reiterating that he was not for sale. The Rossoneri tabled an offer of £15.7m for Ronaldo, but AS states that the Merengues are not willing to let him go for less than £21.5m, especially if they cannot get Kaka in exchange. O Fenomeno’s hopes of returning to the city thus seem over at least for the time being, although the story may not be at its end. Inter have not ruled out a move to bring the Brazilian back to San Siro and have allegedly proposed a swap deal to Real Madrid involving Adriano, but Calderon does not seem interested in this option. Presenti solo Galliani, Braida e Mijatovic. Galliani says that the gathering was very short, and in these cases it's never good. There's a big gap between Milan's offer and Real's demands. If this goes like this, I think we're gona get Iaquinta. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Milan and Real Madrid are unlikely to agree on Ronaldo’s transfer, despite the deal seemingly being finished on Wednesday.
“Short meetings are never positive,†said the Rossoneri Vice-President. “There is a major gap between the request for the player and what we can offer.â€
Real Madrid value Ronaldo at £18m and wanted midfielder Kaka to be included in the deal, but the Via Turati club was not willing to offer more than £10m, with no player in exchange.
Spanish newspapers AS and Marca both stated on Thursday that Kaka was the main obstacle to a positive outcome of the negotiations between the two clubs.
The Diavoli are now forced to change their plans and may formalise their offer for Udinese’s Vincenzo Iaquinta, rumoured to be worth £7m plus striker Marco Borriello.
David Trezeguet and Adriano are also on Milan’s shortlist, but Juventus don’t intend to let the Frenchman leave and Inter are not keen on selling to their direct competitors.
Milan’s summer market has not yet scored a top level signing, after losing Hernan Crespo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to rivals Nerazzurri.

This is getting worse and worse.
Iaquinta???!!!!!!!!!!! That idiot doesn't even know how to run with the ball.
And Trezeguet won't be of any use to us since he is just another version of Gila and Pippo.
They should have gotten Sobis in the first place, now look what happened Ronalda seems unlikely and we don't have any real chance of getting someone that could be called a good forward

He's unsettled and we're looking for a forward; it's just the reporters' suggestion!!! Has Sobis officialy signed or was that just another Marca bullsh1t ??? QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 24 2006, 11:23 PM) No, if we won't get Ronaldo then we will sign Ricardo Oliveira. And there's still hope for Torres too, not to forget Tevez. We'll just have to wait and see. This line can't be used for much longer, we have been saying this for the past month, now I'm not sure that they can reach a deal for anyone in such a short time span. btw, reports are now saying that Udinese have agreed to sell us (waite I have to go and throw up before I say this) Iaquinta (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) Oh and I think we can forget about Torres and Tevez, Torres won't leave Atletico and Tevez is practically Chelsea property. So is this Oliveira guy any good I never heard about him

well...we always have january (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) through all this though, i think all this talk about how terrible our forwards are going to be this year is a smack in the face to gilardinho and pippo...they are 2 great strikers and i think gilardinho is going to step up and take on the lead role this year. pippo has already shown great form again and we can always move kaka up as a striker as well.

QUOTE Iaquinta can suck my d!ck. I think he'd be bad at that too! Quality comment Warchant. But believe me we know that. That's the only reason everyone on this forum is still holding on to our sanity (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

There hasn't been any real concrete indication that we'll get Ricardo or any of them. Torres was linked for a move to Milan last january. We got all excited and it didn't come through. At this point, I say hell with it. If we sign somebody, then we sign somebody. We'll still be strong on the pitch. Our strikers will do well. Maybe we could try Kaka in more of a forward role. We really will just have to wait it out and take what happens in a positive light.
