QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 2 2007, 01:23 AM) So he's the worst striker ever because of one friendly? Kaka' and R10 were made to look ametuer against England, was only after they went off that Brazil got back in the game, are they crap? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Nop. I always said Iaquinta is good but NOT for a top-team. One thing is if a player is not interested in a friendly and don't even run or so. Other thing is if the player trying to get a place in the first 11 and simply... he's sh!t. He tried but he's not good enough. I mean, it was not 1, 2 or 3 times during the match. It was pathetic really. Anyway, I think he'll be benched as Del Piero and Trezeguet are still there. And those... are world-class.

My Spanish isn't the best, but does it maybe say that Madrid have offered 40m for the two players instead of saying that they've signed them?

QUOTE Ajax Reveal Madrid Bid For Sneijder
Ajax have confirmed that they have received a bid for Wesley Sneijder from Real Madrid and are beginning to prepare for life without their star player.
The 23-year-old has been a target for the Spanish giants all summer and have now made an official offer of €24m for his services.
Martin Van Geel, the Amsterdam-based club's technical director, confirmed that they had received the bid and were ready to talk.
"Wesley has not gone yet, but we cannot deny that we are seriously thinking that he is going to go to Real Madrid," he told Dutch publication Sportweek.
"Sneijder told us that he would be very pleased to make the move."
Coach Henk ten Cate is realistic about the news, but clearly unhappy about the prospect of losing such influential player from his squad.
"I am already thinking about life without him," he said. "If he goes that would be a great shame, a really great pity."
Madrid have already signed another Dutchman after prising Royston Drenthe away from Feyennord and are hot on the trail of two others.
Talks with Chelsea about Arjen Robben are ongoing, while the Spanish outfit are said to have opened negotiations with Hamburg over a move for Rafael van der vaart.
LB Must say that I'd love to see Sneijder in Milan. One of my favourite center-midfielders.

(IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Nice!! I won't be all bad... I have to say I like Madrid's away shirt! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Alves was amazing as usual, Boulahrouz and Dragutinović combined perfectly and Sevilla as a whole defended Fabiano's goal surprisingly well! Keita was Sevilla's best in my view... and it was only his first official game!! He's (probably) gonna be Sevilla's next big thing... very good signing! As for Real... well, they were bad, Real bad! That was an awful performance... still, Schuster's effect on the team is obvious; he's taught his players to cry like b!tches for every decision given against them!! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Baptista... he can't be Brazilian... really... he's fake... I can't see how a joke of a player like him can play for Real Madrid!! And Robinho... as usual; dribbling and diving! The moment he learns about passing (wow! never heard that before, have you?) he will become a good player... and he might even trouble teams better than Chile! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Sadly enough, Gago was bad too! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) On the contrary, Pepe amazed me!! That was a magnificent performance by him tonight! Anyway... it was only normal that Sevilla would play better. They're better prepared as they play the CL preliminary 1st leg in a week (against AEK Athens)! I wanna see Real's line-up in two months... with Sneijder, Drenthe (possibly Robben)...

QUOTE Sneijder Move In Doldrums As Ajax Demand 27M After almost having reached an agreement over the transfer of Wesley Sneijder, Real Madrid and Ajax have once again drifted apart. There were reports this morning that an agreement has been reached over a 25 million euro move. However, it has since emerged that Real Madrid and Ajax are still separated by 3 million euros. Los Merengues' final offer of 24 million euros has been turned down, with Ajax demanding 27m in order to let their star midfielder go. Ajax coach Henk Ten Cate is wary of losing another key player after selling Ryan Babel to Liverpool, and is keen to ensure that if he does, he makes good money out of the move. Interestingly, though, Babel was sold for around 17-18 million euros, and Sneijder has been priced at 27m. Yet another instance of clubs pricing their players exclusively for Real Madrid? Of course, Real Madrid have set the standards themselves with a 30 million offer for Pepe, even though they are not too keen on a repeat. The latest on the move is that both sides have put their feet down, and the deal has been put in the freezer. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=379883 So, Sneijder is staying? Stupid Madrid. They can give 24 but not 27? A team that have 100M/euros to spend? (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) We'll see what happens and if Sneijder plays the CL 3rd pre next Tuesday or Wednesday with Ajax. If he does, he'll stay in Ajax.
