Milan WILL BE front-runner in every single competition. the championship, CL, Supercup, World Club Cup.

You are all being too cynical just because we haven't sign some stars, and that's unbelievable!
*

Not exactly. The problem is that we don't have depth in our squad. Just that.

And a team that have 14-15-16 good players for 90 matches and 5 competitions, can't be competitive in all of them. It's impossible.

We'll probably going to get the 1 or 2 cups and that's it. We do not have depth for a league.

they only fuss all over 1 year nothing , in 1 year they won that kicking @ss scudetto with only one team ready in competition , yes this is always true about moratti and inter : they did nothing special and they will not , with a one like moratti you can always go to sleep but we did it in 5 years , it was moggi who destroyed our 3 consecutive scudetto so we could now say we get 3 scudetto , 2 champions league with only 14-15 good players . with out of rate and date players . Congradulation poor Milan . How wonderful and lonely you are and how wonderful your management is .

ِDepth? I don't believe in it that much. last year we were unlucky with all these injuries which were most a result of World Cup and starting pre-season without enough rest. and worse than that, an 8 point deduction that handed to Milan and immediately killed off Milan's competing spirit in Serie A, but not in Europe. and you did see how we performed in Europe compared to Serie A.

This year will be a whole different story. I know winning Serie A will be more difficult than the international competitions, but I believe Milan will succeed at least in three of them which are: Serie A / World Club Cup / Supercup.

CL is a different story and sometimes even the best teams cannot win it.

WAKE UP CALL!!! thats one of the downers for having half ur squad over 30!!! so expect the same Sh!t this years as well, thats why it would be sane sign players.

umm sorry but i dint know we were the only team in europe to have players at the world cup? everyone had the same problem.

we won our first 3 games and inter only had 3-4 more points than us and then we started to play **** and we start to fall behind because we werent winning, not because of some retarded 8 pt deduction. besides i thought that was supposed to be 'extra motivation" thats what milan refered too it as. it was obvious BS. lesson? dont believe much of what they say because most of it is BS. just like the BS they are talking now.

they completly dominated serie a and beat the record for most pts, now if that isnt special then i dont know what isnt. dont be ignorant just cuz we're dealing with inter. they are an even better side from last year and us we'lll we've only gotten smaller which is a (boriello and oli gone, billy retired). 3 scudetti? thats being presumptious. Juve cheated but if i'm not mistaken milan we're in involved too wheter any of us like it or not. you think a team like milan with all the power and ressources it has cant cheat? i'm sur einter cheated too but thats not up to us to decide. in the end juve deserved those scudetti more than us because they were more consistent than us, even tho we outplayed them when it was 1v1.

I have to agree with bigmac, Inter would have won the league regardless.

If we started off on the same points, they'd have won it clearly. If they started on less points, they'd have won it clearly. Inter will have it tougher this upcoming season as I believe Juve will be back to their old self.

Don't go by pre-season friendly results, they mean nothing at all. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

We may need a few reinforcements, but we don't really need STARS. I'm sure you wouldn't say these words if we had signed a mega-star by now. I'd love to see R10 or Eto'o in Milan as much as you do but as you know it, that's just a dream.

Yes we were the only team that went all the way to the World Cup final. Oddo, Pirlo, Gattuso, Inzaghi, Nesta. it's true that only Gattuso and Pirlo played in all matches, but the the others had heavy trainings till the very last day and didn't have much time for rest, just like Pirlo and Gattuso.

Who did Inter have apart from Materazzi?! NOBODY. Argentina were eliminated in 1/4 so its players had at least 10 more days (or maybe more) to rest than Italian players.

Juve also had a situation like us, but they played in Serie B and no CL. so you can't compare them to Milan either.

From other Europe's big clubs... you name it: Real? Barcelona? Manchester? Chelsea? none of them had these kind of problems... injuries, fitness problems, lacking motivation because of point penalty, losing the best goal scorer, etc. last season was really a fvcked up one for Milan. I still wonder how we went all the way to the CL final.

We didn't do anything special when we were three or four points behind Inter. we just won a couple of games. it was Inter who took off slowly (and Mancini nearly got fired for his results). but they got better and better and that's it. "extra motivation" was BS. it was more like "fvcked up motivation"! if we weren't winning it was only a result of that 8 point deduction and lacking motivation.

If what I say is not true, then how can you justify our European glory?! we had the same team in both competitions. right?

Who wouldnt want stars? big clubs sign stars or up-coming stars, thats just the way it is and we havent signed a legit star since nesta (ronaldo was surplus was not a star when we got him and he wont be, he is a very good player) and thats a long time for a club like milan. and now we have been promised a star for some time now and our management has fVcked up royally in that department. we dont need stars, but a new star + average signings.

ur telling me that milan was more tired than inter cuz italy played 2 more matches than argentina (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

milan had janku (played 3 matches only), nesta (played 1 games), gattuso, pirlo, gila (barely played), cafu (played 4-5 matches), simic (played 3 matches), kaka (played 5 matches) we dint have many players that played much besides rino/pirlo

and inter had vieira who played all the games + argies @inter who played till 1/4s

not a huge diff if any....

we won the CL because of the following reasons:

-we had by far the easiest group so it was impossible not to qualify
-celtic was probably the easiest or 2nd easiest team we could of played for the round fo 16
-bayern was probably the 2nd easiest draw for us after PSV
-we got 2 away goals which is because of kaka
- san siro display was a collective effort so we coudl get revenge
-our win in the final was a mediocre display by pretty much everyone except 2 moments from kaka which inzaghi skilfully finished + liverpool couldnt finish their chances
-Overall everyone underestimanted us till we reached the finals

in the end we won the CL 90% cuz of kaka, and we cant rely on him doing this again if we wanna have any chance of winning anything this season.

We will have R9 this season, which will help alot. But there's 0% chance of us retaining the trophy. Look at the other teams that made the semi's and the players they're bringing in.

We can't even compete with Liverpool in the transfer market anymore. Milan need to start being serious in the summer. We seem to think we can get anybody we want, when that's very far from the truth.

ronaldos CL record: 42 app, 16 G (some of which are penalties) ... he's never been good in the CL and thats when he was el phenomenal... so i guess now ronaldo i going to magically become even better than he's been over the years even tho he's been in the decline for 2-3? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

we are champions of europe, it shouldnt be so hard to sign world class players. the problem is milan not being able to spend money ( ya we would spend on R10 or eto'o) but you have to be open minded. theres always gonna be a few players that wont be sold so you go on the other world class players that are within the 30-40m range. some of you are saying well who are these players? well if there was no one good on the market than how come liverpool, chelsea, man u, inter, barca, real, juve EVEN spurs and athletico are making excellent signings?

what happened to we can sign anyone we are milan? what happened to this signing that will rock the world? what happened to we will sign eto'o or R10? what happened to we will get a world class player? how clubs besides real (at least they're signing good players) talk so much but cant backup any of it? it's really embarrassing listening to them. obviously the summer isnt over but its not looking good.

Er. Guys, it's still July. There IS another month to the transfer window.

I agree that Milan really does need more depth to be a serious contender for the Scudetto, but I don't think there's a great need to be quite as pessimistic as some are.

As for the transfer campaign...the last time I felt really horrible about the summer market was in the summer of 2002. The defense was a mess and everyone I knew was making rude Fester jokes. Milan had scraped through the first couple of CL qualifiers in August, though it wasn't pretty. And then, on the last day of the market, Nesta arrived. The moral of the story? Milan likes last-minute dramatics. There's no need to start the bashing just yet. Have a little faith. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

EDIT: 22 m for Pato? It's a lot but I say go for it.

*

I agree with this and have been emphasizing the problems with our bench.

The real problem is that we have depth on the bench but 50 % percent is injury prone depth. Our real key is our midfield and perhaps Ronaldo if he can revive. We could use another attacking midfielder. Kaka was our depth last season. We wouldn't have won the champions league without him.

The rest of our team is lacking. Our defense- we should clean house, and get some fresh talent out there, its not really that great when Madrid, Barcelona, and Chelsea are monopolizing most of the talent out there.

By the time we go for someone there transfer price is too high. Rebuild our defense around Nesta, Janku, and Oddo. Find their successors and go for it. Forwards is the other problem. With only 3, 2 injury prone, 1 can't be counted on.

In an interview recently Kaka came out and talked about you have to continuously look forward to the next season, the last one doesn't matter anymore. THe problem with Milan's management is that they are stuck in last season with the CL win, and flat out fail to address the potential weaknesses approaching. It really could either way with Milan. Either we win or fall flat, its hard to say.

But one things for sure, we have the same team that got outplayed by Inter, Livorno, and Roma last season, its not a good sign because they are even stronger and of course Juventus. Also Chelsea, Barcelona and others have more depth and are free of the injuries from the start of the season, making the CL more competitive.
